It does, but you can not see it. The white fabric of the body is wrapped over the zip tie. You can feel it if you press on the fabric, but you would never know it's there unless you were looking for it.

is this baby's foot the size of a newborn? can this baby wear newborn shoes size 0 or 1?

I'll have to double check when I'm at home, but I know the newborn socks and booties fit the doll. My daughter also puts some shoes she had as a baby on the doll, and they fit just fine.
