We used this to strain boiled ground turkey for our dog who had an allergy to all other proteins. We wanted minimal fat and this was the first strainer we could find which didn't allow too much fat to come through when we strained the broth. It works like a charm; the mesh is very tiny. We popped it in the dishwasher to clean, it never bent or came out dirty even though the mesh is small. A gem of a product.

I use this for straining more than just coffee. I pair this with a mason jar funnel and use it anytime I need bits/floaties strained out of something. Great for when tea leaves escape into my morning earl gray. A quick strain, and then rinse and then put it back on the shelf. Great quality. I imagine it might break if I pushed it too hard while washing, but I haven't had any problems with durability while treating it properly.
