Awesome
I love the way this book is written. It works great for middle school and high school students but it is also great for teacher to get ideas on how to explain complex science concepts. It's very colorful and the text is color coded to identify important information right away. It also has questions at the end of each chapter to check for understanding.

Great for kids who want to learn more on their own or get help with a topic
This series of books is great for your young learners! I first found these at Costco but they did not have all of them in the series as my 6th grade child asked for more so I turned to Amazon that has everything to complete my collection. Now my 6th grader asked for the geometry book which is more high school level so its great to see kids reaching for higher goals in education! I would think these could be good for anyone who home schools their children too but in my case it just helped reinforce what was taught in school.

Perfect for homeschool
I use all of their books (middle and highschool) as core books to teach my 7th grader and he absolutely loves them! He appreciates them because the material is engaging and concise. I use DK Human Body book and DK SuperSimple Biology to supplement readings and for the completion of worksheets, but the spine of our curriculum are the Everything You Need to Ace books. They are definitely a blessing to our homeschool!

Great reference book at great value
Been having a hard time looking for a specific reference book for my 5th Grader's Science learning at local Middle school. The Science subject this year, however, is somewhat challenging - most of students are being pressurized to expand their own vocabulary bank (jargons and terminologies in terms of general physics, chemistry, astrology and biology); some of them also struggle with visualizing the 'concept' that is introduced by the teacher; the biggest problem is that they need to cultivate and continuously strengthen a series of study habits, including chapter preview prior to the class, even given the fact that no officially assigned textbook to them yet. Therefore, in my opinion, this Science Notebook serves the purpose by bridging the gap in this dilemma - which is to introduce and highlight the key points of each sub-subject of ‘Science’ and guide students to do further research based on each chapter before and after the class. I would recommend this Science book for 5th Graders, however please also extend after-school research on each Science topic on a daily basis, 10-20 minutes would be perfect.
