Fixed My Problematic Backup Guitar in Seconds - Highly Recommend!
It's always a crapshoot when you're ordering guitar parts that aren't made by the big OEM manufacturers, but I've gotten more comfortable with the "Alnicov" stuff over the last year or two, especially with my Cigar Box Guitar builds. They, along with Guyker and Fleuor, seem to be pretty consistent and have not disappointed. For this particular purchase, I went with these instead of some of the others, mainly because of the price, but also because the specs were clear in the product description. While sometimes I still occasionally run into something that's slightly off tolerance-wise, I was happy that these fit perfectly. I didn't have to file or sand the nut or the slot on the guitar at all to get it to fit in snugly but also easily without having to force it one way or the other. So I can't confirm whether it's pure bone or whatever, but by the look and feel of it, I am inclined to believe it is, meaning it will last for many years to come. And the slots on the nut were already cut close enough for my needs on this guitar, so I didn't see any need to adjust them. The guitar I was having to work on was one of my backup guitars for a cover act I play with, and I had cobbled together a cool partscaster made to resemble Kurt Cobain's Reading Festival black Stratocaster. I, of course, haven't tried to go out of my way to relic it with all of the bumps, bruises and damage his head (prior to being smashed), nor have I duct taped the strap or anything like that. I might add some details here and there over the course of the next few months, but I just wanted it to be a basic, familiar looking representation. But instead of making it a mirror version out of her right handed guitar body and parts, I wanted it to be a genuine left-handed guitar, and I would flip it Hendrix style. The original nut that was on the guitar was fine, but when I flipped it around, the way it was cut put the strings' break angle at the headstock at a funny position, about a millimeter off from where it was supposed to be, so it really screwed with the intonation badly. I decided I bona fide right-handed nut was the only logical answer. Thankfully I was right, and once I slid this nut into place and tuned up the guitar, it was almost perfect. Intonation issues were gone, and even the string height was acceptable without having to adjust the slots. Easiest fix or upgrade I've ever had to do. Now I can actually play this guitar, in tune, and enjoy it. Highly recommend for your Strat style guitar.

Good replacement nut
Held up well to sanding and fit fender basic guitar. Would not use on my new strat due to slot sizes too small

Great Quality
I didn't know what to expect for the price, but this bone nut is fantastic. Instantly my guitar tone quality was vastly improved. I love it. It was a bit nerve-wracking to change the nut myself, but I made sure the nut was well set in the correct position while the glue was still wet. Would recommend, would buy again. Worked great , may need a little sand paper.
Works great, a bit of light sanding fit good string height good, you have extra if you mess one up.

Fits Right
they exactly fit the slot in my Squier strat. Very minor filing in slots to put strings at right height.

Be gentle.
Replacing the guitar nut is kind of a delicate project, but it worked great. I broke one first before getting the hang of it. Just be a little gentle.

Too short for my guitar
This is real bone, and finishes well. Slots are deep enough to use as drop in. Measure twice, though. I measured my old nut from the end, and these are measured from center. Because they’re radiused (looks like 9.5) I had to shim it by 2mm- which I was not happy about.

I repair and set up guitars so use many of these items so this is a regular supplier that I have found to be reliable and a product that is very good quality and has great resonance and has improved the sound on many guitars I have worked on. They are also almost the perfect fit for most guitars but are easily filed to size for more bespoke instruments. Highly recommend
