I am new to pressure canning, and my husband got me the 23 quart Presto pressure canner for our anniversary. I was having a difficult time with the pressure gauge and the regulator that came with it, so I replaced the factory regulator with this one and it has made canning EFFORTLESS! I felt confident with it the second time around and barely had to watch it. I was struggling to keep it at 10-11 psi needed for my elevation and recipes and with this it’s amazing!

Perfectly fits my Presto model stated in the listing. I'm very pleased with this purchase and recommend it to others. Interestingly, the pressure was maintained more easily with this weighted regulator than it is with the OEM regulator and dial gauge.

Not A Presto Part, but works OK.
I didn't realize this is a chinese knock-off, not a Presto part. However, it is pretty much identical. Since I have the dial pressure gauge, I ran it and checked the pressure against the gauge. It is perfect. So, it works great and I no longer have to monitor the gauge, I can go about my other business while the pressure canner is doing its magic. Just understand, it is not a Presto Part.
