This has been my daily carry light for over a year now and it’s been a perfect addition to my Glock 48. The fit is excellent, it’s compact, and it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk. The 500 lumens is more than enough for its intended use, and the controls are simple and intuitive. Installation is easy, but one piece of advice — make sure you use a little thread locker on the mounting screw. I learned that the hard way when mine loosened up and came off initially. Once secured properly, it’s been solid and dependable. Overall, a durable, bright, and well-designed light that I trust on my EDC setup

Fit's Glock 43x MOS with front rail perfectly. Love this light. on/off thumb buttons on both sides are convenient and easy to use. My initial shipment arrived with no visual damage, however, the light could not be turned off. Amazon exchange program let me order the exchange before I returned the old unit so I got it next day with Prime. Second light works flawlessly. Great product and great Amazon exchange service.

I bought this light for a G48 MOS lower with a rail. What I like about this combination is that the light is easy to put on and take off for whatever the need is. When dismounted it make a dandy flashlight and is brighter than my other stand alone lights. I have a TLR-6 with a laser for a G43x. I like that a lot, especially because it has a laser. The one drawback with that light is that it is not designed to put on and take off regularly and if the laser is zeroed we don't want to disturb that. The 7 sub might be TOO BRIGHT for certain indoor situations. You don't want to blind yourself in an encounter with light reflecting off the walls or going from deep darkness to very very bright. That's up to you. I find the TLR-6's 100 lumens adequate and the 7 sub more than bright enough. I'm glad it isn't any brighter. One other thing... I thought that having the 7-sub attached when carrying would be more uncomfortable with the extra bulk. It is not. I find it very comfortable and the holster is wide enough that a claw isn't needed, at least for the holster I have for it. The sad thing is that it is MUCH more expensive than it was a year or two ago as is the TLR-6. As a comparison, I bought a 6 about 2 years ago for $88. Today it's $113, a 22% increase in price. I suspect the Sub-7 underwent a similar price increase, at $131. The price is the only real negative that I can submit and IMO should be under $100. But caveat emptor. It's up to you if it's worth it. Obviously I chose it in spite of the price.

I ordered the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub 500-Lumen and was pleasantly surprised when they sent me the upgraded TLR-7 Sub X model at no extra cost. This newer version offers the same great features but can also run on rechargeable batteries, which adds a lot of value. What I Liked: Powerful and Compact: The 500-lumen light is incredibly bright for its size, making it perfect for compact setups without sacrificing performance. It provides excellent illumination in low-light environments. Upgraded Model with Rechargeable Option: Receiving the upgraded TLR-7 Sub X was a fantastic bonus. The ability to use rechargeable batteries is a game changer, saving money and making the light more eco-friendly. Durable Build: As expected from Streamlight, the construction is rock-solid. It’s lightweight but durable, perfect for everyday use or tactical applications. Easy to Mount and Use: The design is user-friendly, and mounting it was a breeze. The controls are intuitive and allow for quick activation, which is essential in high-pressure situations. Overall Impressions: The Streamlight TLR-7 Sub is already an impressive product, but receiving the upgraded Sub X version made it even better. With powerful lighting, a rechargeable battery option, and a durable design, this is an excellent tactical light that exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Fits like a glove and adds much needed lighting to my Glock 43X. I carry it in a Safariland solis and it’s just great. The push buttons are in a good spot and the battery life is more than adequate. CR123 batteries can be pricey. Buy them in bulk and you’re set for life.

This light arrived on-time, and in new condition. No problems with the packaging or contents. I made sure the light was for my platform. Mounting the light is as easy as it gets. I used the provided tool to loosen the tensioner screw on the side. Aligned the light to the rail and it popped on. I lightly tightened the tensioner screw until things were snug. The battery goes in from the front. Unscrew the bulb assembly, counter clockwise. The build feels nice, light but sturdy. The buttons function as they should, press and release with a slight click. I’m grateful the light has ambidextrous buttons. Easy to reach with your thumb and the light is nice and bright. It looks at home on the front of the 43X, not to big and only protrudes a little past the barrel. Other than having a capable light, I wanted to something additional to hold on to. With the small frame, the 43X is of course snappy as they say. I have large hands so the extra grip will be nice.

This is my tenth streamlight TLR-7.... works as expected, solid lock up beam is strong. Screws prone to stripping, and I've had two screws break. Easy fix with online order or reaching out to manufacturer. Lights do not like being switched from gun to gun, so it's great if you set it and forget it... if you have to switch often or occasionally, worth looking at another light or aftermarket screws.

I was seeking a firearm light that was flexible in mounting options and that would not extend past the barrel end on smaller pistols. This TLR-7 is perfect. Some of my firearms don’t have a traditional rail and have no locking notch. Fortunately this light has a removable locking lug and it fits those firearms perfectly. In the package you also get a variety of locking lugs for different rail types. At 500 lumens, the brightness is perfect for the use case as I am not trying to light up a football field.
