Vidpro SB-4 Spinning Static Sensor Cleaner Brush

This compact device is very effective for removing dust that won't simply blow off. Wet cleaning is seldom required afterwards (perhaps every one or two years after the first six months). A motor spins the brush rapidly, removing any debris and adding a static charge to the micro fiber bristles. The brush dislodges stubborn lint and the static charge sucks it up. The built-in LED lamps highlight any dust on the sensor. Voila! No dust spots in the image. It's slim enough to fit in most camera bags, but the plastic cap has a tendency to become dislodged. I have one in each of several camera bags.

Beware! I used it only once very carefully to remove a few tiny dust specks. I did not touch it and I was very careful that the bristles don't contact anything except the sensor glass. I followed the steps carefully but the brush smeared sticky and oily marks on the sensor and now I have to undergo several wet cleaning to remove this or send the camera for service. I wish I never tried this terrible brush.

At first it left an oil streak on my image sensor so I cleaned the fiber bristles with a special cleaner like a lens cleaner and then removed the oil residue on the fiber bristles by drying it up with a microfiber lens cloth but don’t ever put anything else on your image sensor and do not spin the fiber bristles on the image sensor itself .

An added plus is the clear plastic cover that protects the brush and keeps it clean when not in use. Works for both full frame and crop sensors. The one thing that I did not see was any warning not to touch the brush so it would not pick up any body oil from your hands. The lights make it very easy to see inside to the sensor. For anyone doing their own sensor cleaning I feel that this product is a must.

Does what’s advertised. Brush head sometimes threads off to the edges and I’m assuming cause of the rotation. But overall good product cleaned my camera sensor really well.

i tried it when it arrived.. i got a7iii as everyone this can is dust magnet.. i got magnifier to check the dust on the sensor.before i tried this brush there was a little dust around the sensor. when i clean it using this brush.. man the sensor was look like covered with dust! i don't know if i got a lemon brush or it was dirty but when i look at it there is no dust on it.. i immediately clean my sensor by using my trusty swap cleaning and return the sensor as suppose to be.

Tried the brush and it worked beautifully. Costs significantly less than other brands selling similar brushes.

This thing ended up adding more dust to the sensor, as well as some sort of oily substance. Wish i could give negative stars
