Why did you pick this product vs others?: Full time RVer here! This stuff is an absolute necessity if you're living in your RV or just a weekend warrior. It eliminates odor and helps break down solid waste in the tank so that there are no blockages when emptying your black tank. This is a better price than you will find in any box store. Bought this product again because of the quality and results I get when I use it in my RV. Very nice smell and the blue color is very nice.

We've tried a number of treatment solutions for black water tanks in our RV, and this one seems to work the best. It doesn't clean the sensors as well as I would like. However, it breaks up the matter in the tank quite well. We use it regularly, and it only takes about two 1/3 cups per treatment. So, the gallon lasts a while. I would recommend this to anyone who has an RV. I would give it 5 stars if it cleaned our sensors better.

We've been loyal Thetford customers for years. Purchase it for our boat holding tank & have NEVER had issues with odors or breakdown of waste. When used as recommended no holding tank odors ever, even when at capacity. One summer Thetford was difficult to find so we were forced to use another product. Very ineffective -holding tank smell was not suppressed. Never again-we always order extra. Won't use anything else.
