We wanted a sliding glass barn door for our laundry room since it made the most sense for the space. Here’s what I learned that might help others:1. Prep Work – I removed the old door, popped out the jamb, filled in gaps with wood putty, sanded, and painted before installation. If you’re replacing a standard door, be prepared for some minor patchwork.2. Assembly & Installation – The door comes unassembled, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. It didn’t take long to put together. However, the door is a bit heavy, so if you’re working alone or on the smaller side, I’d recommend having someone help lift and mount it.3. Custom Adjustments – I had to pivot slightly due to a vent, but the installation was flexible enough to work around it.4. Durability & Performance – The door has been up for months with no issues—it slides smoothly, stays in place, and shows no signs of wear or problems.If you’re looking for a stylish and functional barn door that’s easy to install with a little prep work, this is a great choice. Omg! This barn door was complete no surprise of buying extra parts..it was all included this was the easiest barndoor we have put in ..it was so easy we are putting a 2nd one in guestroom bathroom..gives more space not to have a door open into bathroom.love it.

Originally bought this door after pandemic when redoing my bathroom. At that time it was approximately $100 more. Everything comes in a big box weighing close to 80lbs. The door needs to be built. It isnt difficult. I used a drill with the proper screw head to make the job quicker. Its best to have two people but one could do it if you aren’t impatient or in a hurry. The hardware for the track is included. It came with a ding to one of the panels ( took a star for that) but I placed it facing the wall side when hanging the door. I took the door off the bathroom giving me more room inside the bathroom using an outside barn door that slides to make the bathroom private.

It was not difficult to put together; however, a second person will likely be needed at the end of assembly. I was able to do it myself, so it is possible.It’s a quality door with a good amount of weight to it!I bought the hardware off Amazon:) Only the door is included.

I was hesitant to order such a pricy item online, as the color and quality are always a gamble. However, I am very happy with this barn door. All pieces were individually wrapped and protected in the shipping box. Amazon delivered the box with extra care. It was easy enough for me to assemble myself. I would note the glass panels have two different finishes so be sure to install the same sheen on the same face. I opted for the matte finish on the outside as it was a bit more blurred than the shiny finish. In the glass photo, you will see where I tested out the different finishes during assemble to ensure I picked what best suited my home. Both are blurred; however, the matte side is a bit more. Although assemble was possible by one person, install was a bit more difficult as the door is very durable and bulky, perfect for use, but a workout when you are installing it solo. A work around is putting a blanket on the floor and sliding the door to the area of install. Overall very do-able solo, just be mindful of your installation location when opting for your assemble location. Lastly I will say, the delivery box is very large and heavy, I was unable to move it on my own, so I opened it outside my home and brought each piece inside.The wood finish (oak) is very smooth and classy. For contrast, my floors a light wash and the tile area is black and white. The couch is linen. The wood finish blends well with all, it is also smooth to keep it water-resistant and easy to clean. The glass panels although rattle a small bit when installing it, once installed and simply sliding on the guide, I do not notice any glass rattling. If you do, a silicone border would be an easy fix without distracting from the classic look.For possible improvements, I would suggest the manufacturer use similar color caps for the bolts instead of the white ones provided. A cap color in a light brown (oak) color would elevate the look much more. Although the caps are isolated to the outside edge (not in line of sight unless you are intentionally looking at the side face). Secondly, I would prefer if the inside face door handle was a handle as well, not the finger tip ledge. Again, not an issue, more so a personal preference that would elevate the overall quality of the door in my personal opinion.Overall quality door, good blurred matte finish on glass. Slides soundlessly and smoothly for ease of opening and closing.

Ok everyone buckle in because this is a tale about a “barn door” that wasn’t. The door arrived unassembled in about 20 pieces give or take. And no mounting hardware. I repeat no barn door mounting hardware. Just a frame in pieces, glass, a hex key and bolts. My lord!We asked about the mounting hardware prior to ordering and we were assured that it was included. Multiple times! Lies.A trip to Lowe’s and 70 bucks later we got the hardware. I don’t know about you but I do not like to spend anymore money than I have to nor do I appreciate wasting my time on tasks I purposely avoid by asking questions before I purchase items. So you best believe I’m not happy.One other little problem the dang door doesn’t come with predrilled holes for mounting the hardware either. Aye aye aye! Barn door my left foot!Anyway it’s been a headache and if I could build a Delorean and travel back in time I’d pick the exact moment I bought this door and I’d tell myself, “Girl, uh-uh this ain’t it. Keep looking and save yourself 3 hours of nonsense. Also, you look real good!” LolSo, friends, consider me your time traveling buddy from the future and let me advise you to skip this door. It ain’t it.1 star (given reluctantly)
