Bike Stem will not work with some/all drop bars (raicing bike type handlebar)
After my unconscionable experience, I called Amazon for a further chat. Amazon's rep, looked after me very well, thank you!... I strongly suggest you "Do Not use this product" if you do not have a straight bar type handle. I spent about 3 hours trying to get this thing onto a drop-bar handle bicycle and did this only because I was driven by the thought I may not be able to ride during my shared vacation with my wife. You may hurt yourself if you try this too, or even worse, you may damage the integrity of the handle. As well, I do not like the 8cm, 30⁰ bar. I think at least 10cm for this angle would make more sense. As well, if in doubt, and I did not do this, purchase the longest stem. This stem is no frills and ok for a straight handle.

Just OK
I bought this so I get more height in my handlebar and move it a bit closer to towards the seat, it does the job. However, I question the quality. I suspect I may have gotten a returned item as the finish had some scratches near the handlebar mount, but trivial matter for me as my bike is vintage and scratched. The plastic cap does not fit, ended up re-using the one that came with the bike, The shaft wedge function is somewhat questionable in that after ensuring I had a tight torque, the handlebar did move and of course came off center while riding on bumpy ground. I may have to re-use the wedge from the stock stem to get around this. I also found that the torque on the handlebar clamp needs to be tighter than what I thought was sufficient; at this point, I am scared that the clamp might break (or strip threads) with more torque (torquing specs would be helpful). I will tighten everything and if it breaks, then a return will be requested. But really, for the price, and re-using of existing parts, it is OK.

Nice extension
Only thing was that it kept loosening up and the wheel would point a different way than the handles, no matter how hard I tightened it within reason. So, I had to over tighten it with a hammer to the allen key, until the point where it stripped the screw. So it's on the for life now....... but it's good and tight now.

Very easy to change out- fits most standard handlebars.
Most of us don't like to bend over as we age and this extra length adds a safety factor. Many people try to extend the handlebar stem too much and this is unsafe.

Good product!
Quick shipment, product itself is good. Two tiny things - the nut could be better - it's hidden in a cave and you need not the wrench but some different tool to turn it. It's fine, but in my experience if you turn it for some time, it will lose a grip. And you need to tight it really hard because it moves anyway. Another thing - the top plastic cover (covers the nut) doesn't sit firmly there.Otherwise, it's a great product
