This is one of the forms of activated B12 that should be supplemented by anyone with MTHFR mutations that interfere with the methylation of the B vitamins into the activated forms. This is a reasonably priced product that fits the need by those of us with MTHFR mutations. Methyl B12 should also be taken.

So I tried Source Naturals dibencozide for the 1st time and I really liked the effects of this type B12. It dissolves well and tastes good. I feel energy after 30 minutes of taking it. I prefer organic or natural supplents cuz I don't want chemical synthetics from who knows where in my body if I can avoid it. Its a bit pricey tho worth it.

This form of B-12 contains both of the coenzyme of B-12 in a sublingual form for those who aren't able to assimilate B-12 through diet, and don't want shots. This form of B-12 contains methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin - these are the 2 co factors or most bioavailable forms of B-12.. Most people who might be reading this are familiar with methylcobalamin, and for those who aren't familiar with adenosylcobalamin ..adenosylcobalamin is the only way the conversion of methylmalonyl-CoA to succinyl-CoA takes place. Without this process, the Krebs cycle fails, and ATP can't be made - leading to fatigue and potentially early aging. Another form of B-12, cyanocobalamin, is cheap - which is why it's so readily used, but it's inferior to the two co-factors. In Japan it's use is not allowed at all because it leaves behind a cyanide molecule, of which the body can't rid itself, building up in tiny amounts in the body - methylcobalamin being the preferred form. Because it's cheap most of the multiples in the U.S. use cyanocobalamin - which is then covered to methylcobalamin in the liver. I have used this form of B-12 for some time time now and will continue because it works well for me.

Way too expensive for what you get.

Great product and especially for those who have methylation cycle block. I use it for my wife and for my patients. This form of B 12 is best used when the other forms of B12 are not working. Dr James T Reese
