The black beard fire starter is a must have! This thing made starting my fires so easy I live how well it’s packed and how fast it came I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone it’s seriously such a great products!! I also loved that the package came with a signed card that explains in easy steps how to use the product and the sticker makes for a great bumper sticker! 5 stars for sure

I really really wanted to love this product, especially given its high price point.The Pros; The zip case is cool, great size and with just enough room to add a folding knife and some gathered tinder. The patch is badass! The rod is thick and can throw some chunky sparks. Windproof and waterproof arc lighter is a good touch.The Cons; The striker is thin and causes pain to grip with any pressure (rather use my knife)The Firestarter material itself, should be the centerpiece, and I hope I just have a bad batch and it can be replaced... but I've got maybe 35 direct hits from chunky sparks that stayed alive well long enough to start this stuff... before it actually ignites. I even did a side by side with gathered materials vs blackboard fire starter, using their rod and striker. Fire on the second go with my gathered material, vs 40+ on blackboard so much that I gave up and used the arc lighter which itself took repositioning and about 30 seconds to light.So far, not so good... but I have hope that it's just a bad batch and we'll be able to update this soon, I hope!
