Easy to Use
I had surgery and had two areas of my incision that did not close. My 82 year old mother had to pack my incision using the gauze and a long medical Q-tip. The gauze container has a plastic cap that allows the user to only pull the necessary amount needed and keeps the rest of the gauze protected from bacteria and elements. My mother found this useful and easy to use. The gauze did it's job and my wounds closed within 4 weeks with no issues or infection.

Recommended by my internal medicine doctor
Had a deep wound on my leg that just wouldn't seem to close up. The treating doctor recommended this sterile strip with iodoform (anti-bacterial) for packing the wound. The dispenser allows you to pull out whatever amount of strip you need without contaminating the rest of the material since you don't have to touch it. Does what its supposed to do and definitely promoted healing while absorbing fluid oozing from the open wound.

Good packing for wounds
I am a RN and have used iodoform packing in the past so when my dog had a wound that needed packing I was thrilled to find this at Amazon. It was just what we needed.

Almost there - the wound was about small clear plastic straw diameter...
Living on a homestead/small farm there's always some wound that needs tending. This particular process was new to me! My wife had L4-L5 laminectomy surgery last summer that went very well - the MRSA infections that followed not so much! After two follow up surgeries and one additional ER procedure, we finally had her free of infection. But this left her with a deep open wound that needed to be packed twice daily. Guess who had two hands with opposable thumbs and got elected for this job? This guy.Products like this make the job so much easier...we started off with the one inch size, then moved down to 1/4 inch as the wound healed from the inside. These are a part of our big first aid box now, cuz you never know...
