I bought this hoping it was vegan friendly and free of unnecessary additives and am very happy with my gamble! Hope this helps! As stated on the bottle:Serving size 2 capsules. Omega 3 comes from algae. Fish eat the algae, bigger fish eat smaller fish on up the chain etc. Seals eat fish. Getting omega 3 - DPA, DHA, EPA from algae is getting it from the source, cutting out the “middleman” or in this case “middlefish” :-)

Q: It is feb 2020. is this product still super low in epa?

I have yet to find one that is Carrageenan free and vegan so I take this. In mouse studies to reproduce rheumatoid arthritis carrageenan is injected in the mouse paw. Not taking a substance that is used to mimic a disease I already have, even if it is a low amount. EPA is 14 mcg in 2 capsules. There are not ANY vegan I have seen without carrageenan.
