A Good Old Fashioned Favorite
I am very pleased to have purchased a Whitman's Sampler. The chocolates are just as good as they were many years ago. Although some of my favorites are not included, I'm still satisfied with the selection of chocolates. Both of the upper and lower levels have the same selection. I only wish that one level would have a completely different selection from the other. But all in all, I'm still enjoying an old fashioned favorite. The complaints written in the negative reviews apparently have all been remedied.

Good value, but price reduction was embarassing
Great sampler and nice presentation. I saw it in a drug store right after Christmas for $9.99 and worried that the receiver of gift would think I had skimped on gift.

Holiday Treat For Children Of All Ages
During the holiday seasons my wife and I enjoy sharing candies that we purchase with our families and friends. One of the candies that we enjoy sharing is Whitman's sampler which has an assortment of fine rich chocolate treats and has something for everyone. The size of the Whitman sampler also makes perfect gifts during the holiday to share with family friends and neighbors. The chocolate portions are firm enough and that they do not melt in your hand which makes an ideal gift for children.

Not Good!
This is the first time I tried Whitman's Chocolates and it will probably be the last time. I usually get Russell Stover Chocolates but thought I would try Whitman's this year. Big Mistake! They were stale and so hard that I could not eat them. I had to toss the whole box in the garbage. I'm glad I still had Russell Stover Chocolates to eat which have been always very good. Maybe I just got a bad box but will not get them again.

They changed the box!
I love this candy, but was really disappointed to find out that they have changed the box for the worst. Then cheap cardboard no little edges hanging over. I buy the Whitmans as much for the box for the candy so probably won’t buy again. Candy still good though!

first time for everything, but I will try again
In the past I have always been very happy but not this time. The chocolates seemed very old and several were melted out of shape. They were bad. Not sure if they were an old box or put next to a heater of sorts, but not good at all.
