We've purchased these 5 or 6 times now...usually when the price drops a little and never seem to run out of uses for it. The sauce has a flavor that just goes with so many different foods. Whether you mic a pack up to pour over meatloaf or over chicken and rice, the flavor just works.

I love to eat pasta, but I am usually confined to the higher-fat alfredo sauces and cheese sauces because acidic tomato sauces irritate my acid reflux. That means no spaghetti and meatballs, which has been frustrating for me, but that's life, eh?Then, while I was browsing the sauce aisle for Knorr alfredo packets, I found this Parma Rosa sauce. I have no idea what 'vodka sauce' is that the other reviewers reference, but whatever this is, it is GOOD. If I had to describe it, I'd call it a creamy tomato alfredo, but even though it is creamy, it is also very light and pleasing to taste, not cloying. The tomato taste is exquisite, and the acid content is low enough to prevent stomach pains. The taste itself is absolutely wonderful - I can actually talk myself out of impulse eating by promising myself Parma Rosa later - it's that good!The Knorr sauces are fairly easy to make (the instructions are serious when they say to 'stir constantly', though, and I think it helps to preheat the milk before adding the powdered mix) and they store indefinitely in these dried packets (another reason to buy packets, besides the smaller carbon footprint in shipping versus jars!). Oh, and buying them on Amazon means I get them for half the price of the local market! For the Parma Rosa, I also add about a third of a pound of seasoned, browned ground beef as easy 'meatballs'. The portions are such that I can easily get two full meals out of one sauce packet, and the sauce stores perfectly in the fridge - this coming from a person who generally hates leftovers.~ Ana Mardoll

We found Parma Rosa years ago. It's a great basic sauce and can easily be doctored. It tastes good as is, but we like a little more "kick". We never make it exactly the same, but we always add a few items, such as fresh cheese (parm with jarlsberg or even a little cream cheese, etc.) and extra seasoning (black pepper, plus something like crushed red pepper, vegetable or poultry magic, chives). We don't always keep milk on-hand, so we often make it using 1/2 heavy cream & 1/2 water. Finally, since my husband eats meat, and I don't, he takes 1/2 the cooked sauce and adds meatballs or chicken to his. In other words, prepared according to directions, this Knorr's sauce is quite good (adding tasty substance to pasts, without being overly heavy/rich). With these packets, it's super easy - and quick to make a restaurant dish. With its flexibility and Amazon's great pricing on this product,, we buy in bulk, keeping it on our Subscribe & Save regular purchase list.

This is a family favorite served over penne or bootie pasta.

I like these sauce packets because it is a shortcut to a good meal. You can mix it up a little with these by adding different proteins (or nothing at all because they are good as stand alone). You can also add different spices and even cheeses...they are excellent as a short cut base or made to direction sauce.

The sauce mix is easy to prepare and delicious. When Amazon mistakenly sent me one packet instead of 24, Alan, the Amazon customer service rep, immediately rectified the problem. Less than 48 hours after I talked to Alan, Amazon delivered a box of 24 sauce packets.

Makes a quick dish, even the grandkids like it.

The taste is what I am used to when I buy it from the supermarket. Just use it with heavy cream and youre good to go. I would definitely order again.
