Amaretti Di Saronno, Crunchy Italian Cookies Tall Tin, 6.17 oz

I have long love these cookies – dry and crunchy with a wonderful lasting amaretto taste. Three small cookies wrapped together are a treat. Always fresh, good value for the money, nice reusable tin and everyone who receives a tin as a gift (especially at Christmas, with Harry and David pears) loves them. Absolutely will buy again and again and again.

Can be kept a long, as it is double wrapped, and it the proper container as this brand should. Can be used with wines, after dinner drinks, etc.

Cookies arrived but were inedible....hard as rocks!! Only gave it one star because this review would not be processed without it.

The cookies are still good, like they were 20 years ago, but the paper wrappers will now longer reliably float off a plate after you light them. The first one I tried, outside, lifted off and floated out of sight. The next 8 that I tried indoors just fell over into black ashes. They seem to unroll too quickly to hold the heat to allow them to lift off like a Japanese lantern.

These were a special "extra" Christmas gift for my wife as they are her favorites. She loves to break them up and sprinkle over vanilla ice cream. Each cookie is individually wrapped and they last a long time if you prefer to pace your consumption. Trust me- they won't disappoint if you love the amarreto flavor.

This is an Italian Cookie I grew up with.Time and cost has changed it a bit. Thesedunking cookies used to be larger. The classic paper wrappings within the can held two cookies within, but now hold just one smallertreat. The taste remains true but would benice to have a bit more to enjoy.Also, as a child, I remember the adults inthe room making wishes for the onlookingchildren, lighting the wrappers andsent them aloft. This was all done outside withsupervision, of course!Ciao!
