A MUST HAVE FOR US! GREAT INVESTMENT!
My sister has had this machine for about 4 years now. She just had to order new guts for it (about $60) after making at least 3 gallons of distilled water every day, for all this time. That's a pretty good track record! It convinced me to purchase one for my husband and I. We had been purchasing our distilled water in plastic containers and I DID NOT like the idea of drinking plastic contaminants. I use distilled water for my tea kettle, iron, steam machine, cooking, drinking, and for adding to my Nutrasilver, fulvic acid, iodine, homeopathic remedies, and much more. We make 2-4 gallons per day. I love it! We placed this machine on 2 wooden blocks so we could open the door and placed it on top of a red, 3 shelf steel service cart (item #6650) from Harbor Freight for $49.99. It works perfectly and I have room to store 16 glass gallon jars on the 2 shelves underneath. I purchased extra gallon glass containers with the plastic carry lids from freshwater systems(dot)com. MUCH CHEAPER!. They have a 4 pack for $23.16 (item # GL01WMF-POUR)! Free S&H for orders over $89. I make about 2-4 gallons per day and try to store extras. My sister recommended that I clean the steel pitcher about once a month with hot white vinegar. We heat up a gallon of white vinegar, pour it into the pitcher, place the lid on, and let it sit overnight. I live in an area where we are on well water. We get a high amount of calcium build up on faucets and in our distilling pitcher. The vinegar soaking and a little scrubbing gets most of this build up off. My only complaint is that the coils at the bottom of the pitcher are difficult to get completely clean. I love the idea that the water this machine produces is pure and clean. Please listen to vidalspeaks(dot)com. There is an excellent podcast to listen to from MAY 26, 2016, entitled, "Dr. Brian Clement-Water: Liquid Life Food; What kind? How much? What should I know about it?" VERY informative. Deborah Vidal, a Los Angeles homeopath and graduate of Cornell University's Plant Based Nutritional Program, does a fantastic interview with Dr. Brian Clement. This is what persuaded me to invest in this machine. Please scroll down to the very bottom of her home page and please order it through her referral link to shop at Amazon.com. This way you not only get free shipping but it helps her out a bit too for all the hard work she does to keep us informed on good health practices. I figure that at $599 + free S&H from Amazon, that I will have my investment paid off within 6-7 months of making about 3 gallons of distilled water a day. If I bought 3 gallons a day, at a cost of .88 cents per gallon at Walmart, it would cost me $963.60 per year, but I would still be getting plastic contaminants in my water. All I can think of is what a great investment this machine is in the long run for our health, and the wear and tear of my machines that require it.

Its worth the money, built solid/restaurant quality, easy to use/clean, the water tastes fantastic
I have been drinking tap water my whole life and I never really thought or cared about my water quality until my wife was about to have our baby and I started looking into it. It was pretty scary reading about all of the garbage that is in the city tap water (fluoride, chlorine, lead, etc.) I wanted to find the best pure water for my infant and I decided on making my own distilled rather than buying plastic bottles of water or a complex reverse osmosis system with all these expensive filters to change and a bunch of setup. I've had the machine for 3 weeks now and I run a cycle everyday. I suggest buying a couple more glass 1 gal containers so you always have water in reserve, they are like 12 bucks a piece. This thing is built very heavy and solid, and its a pretty simple machine that's ready to roll right out of the box. You do have to run one break-in cycle first before drinking. I run each cycle with hot water, which cuts about 30 min off the cycle time, so about 2.5-3hrs per cycle to make 8/10ths of a gallon of pure beautiful water I'm drinking way more water now than I used to and I don't need to use crystal light for flavor because the taste of the water all by itself is fantastic. Plus I use it to brew my coffee. I have hard water here in Cleveland, Ohio and there is a big difference in taste between the distilled and the tap water. I will never go back to tap water now. The machine is also pretty easy to clean, I just rinse it for a minute after each time I run a cycle and even with my hard tap water, there isn't any mineral build up yet. I know the price seems expensive, but you get what you pay for here. If i'm going to be using this thing everyday for the next decade, I didn't want some cheapy plastic one. Plus this thing will pay for itself in no time. Bottom line is I'm very happy with it, and I'm sure over the long run my family will be a lot healthier drinking the purest water possible without all of the contaminants and additives.

I’ve owned the unit for 2 years. I really enjoy the water, it’s perfect and tasty. I love this machine and don't know what I would do without the delicious, clean and clear water it makes. However, every once in a while when I start the unit for a batch, no water is distilled and makes me wonder why not, and how long the distiller will last, kind of disconcerting. I find, however, that if I descale on a regular basis (once a month or so), it solves this problem. Also, when I lived alone I would make one batch per day, I use it for drinking and some cooking. However, now that I have a roommate, we have to make two batches per day, so it is on the smaller side. But, this is a more affordable machine, so it's got a few inconveniences, but it's really great overall.

My Steampure broke down so I bought this to replace although it’s a little bit more it’s absolutely worth it. The warrantee for any electrical part is two years which is a lifesaver. The filter pads are a lot bigger and the taste quality I find is a little bit more better than that of the Steampure. The filter holes are a lot bigger as opposed to just having the one. You get a lot more water in less amount of time. With the steampure I got a gallon in about five hours and with this one I get a full gallon in about three. It’s a little quieter too. I got it on here for $895 CDN which was an absolute miracle. Thank you Amazon I really appreciate and enjoy this machine and the water.

Great machine, does as stated. I have very hard water where I live so cleaning the water chamber can be a bit of a regular choir. I have tested the water quality and is pure as the driven snow unless you add the filters, a T.D.S reader will pick up a difference in water quality. Other wise worth every dollar if you want clean water.

Very well built and easily serviceable, should that be required. It's expensive, but the quality and workmanship are far superior to the canister type machines. I have used it every day for the past month and couldn't be happier. The manufacture's web site lists all of the serviceable parts at reasonable prices. I ordered a set, because I would not want to go a single day without pure water to drink, wash veggies, and to cook with. The heating element, gaskets, and electrical connections arrived quickly, were well packed, and arrived in good condition.

AVOID LIKE A PLAGUE!!! Unit's FAN is VERY NOISY (remember it is ON during 210 minutes = 3.5 hours NON STOP! Then after 30 minutes, if you want to make another batch, SEE ABOVE :-((( Moreover, the Boiling Chamber inside has rusty-looking joints... Problem in the future? Highly likely, since other buyers of this one and of other models and brands from the same manufacturer have complained about the problem. The fact that THEY USED to of high quality and long-lasting does not mean that today it is also true, in the era of cutting costs, etc. The Seller is not supportive and his return policy is one that would cost you a ton of money. The Manufacturer tries to sell their products under different brand names, so pay attention and make sure you know WHO you are buying from. Before spending your precious dollars, think twice! You have been warned...
