Sadhguru's Karma: Reclaiming Your Life's Agency
Sadhguru's "Karma: A Yogi's Guide to Crafting Your Destiny" is far more than just a book; it's a profound invitation to reclaim agency over one's life. In this remarkable work, Sadhguru masterfully dismantles the common misconceptions surrounding karma, transforming it from a daunting concept of fate or divine judgment into an empowering framework for conscious living. At its heart, the book redefines karma not as a ledger of good and bad deeds, but as the very mechanism of life itself – the accumulated memory of action. Sadhguru elucidates how every thought, emotion, word, and physical act creates a ripple effect, shaping our experiences and tendencies. What truly sets this book apart is his unique perspective: he shifts the focus from what happens to us to how we respond, emphasizing that our reactions are the true architects of our destiny. He brilliantly illustrates how we can consciously choose our actions and responses, thereby becoming the creators of our own experience rather than passive recipients of an unseen force. Sadhguru's genius lies in his ability to demystify complex spiritual philosophies, making them accessible and profoundly practical for the modern reader. His language is direct, engaging, and infused with a refreshing clarity that cuts through centuries of misinterpretation. He doesn't just explain karma; he provides a roadmap for understanding and utilizing its principles to break free from limiting patterns. Reading "Karma" is an illuminating journey that empowers you to move beyond the narrative of victimhood and embrace the role of a conscious creator. It's a powerful reminder that while we may not control every event, we absolutely control our response to them, and in that response lies the ultimate freedom. Sadhguru's profound wisdom, delivered with characteristic wit and incisiveness, makes this book an essential guide for anyone seeking to understand the mechanics of life and truly craft their own destiny. It's a testament to his unparalleled ability to bring ancient wisdom into contemporary relevance, offering tools for genuine transformation.

Highly recommended for any spiritual seeker or anybody seeking liberation
The book teaches what karma really means, that it is so much more than what the world says it is. Karma is the software with which one operates. It includes one’s likes, dislikes, one’s sanskars, habitual tendencies, thoughts, beliefs etc. all of which make up a “personal software” for the individual. This is what determines how he experiences the world and how he operates. The alternative of living a life victimised by one’s karma is living in continues awareness of one’s true self which is beyond this “software.” In order words, the alternative of living beyond karma is to become conscious. Very clearcut methods are described about overcoming karma a lot of which require strict yogic discipline and self-enquiry and awareness. The book teaches the importance of understanding karma ( only a gist of which I have mentioned above), how to handle it such that doesn’t interfere with one becoming a truly conscious being. Karma is not just a “reward-and-punishment” matter as the world says it is, it is a lot more than just that, although that too is inclusive. Powerful book for starting on the spiritual path. Very grateful to have read it. I must add one thing here —> the help of a truly liberated ( or enlightened master) is indispensable to help one overcome one’s karma.

Very Insightful and Detailed
Sadhguru is no doubt an excellent writer. This book opens up so many new chapters of his life in general, which I personally never heard about from him. The basic idea of the book revolves around volition and a conscious decision making throughout your life. It clears many myths about Karma, and tells in detail about how there is no good or bad Karma when we think of having a more peaceful life, we have to drop it all. One of the most amazing point about Sadhguru is that he constantly creates Karma for himself while throughput the book he preaches about karma yoga that is to burn out the karma accumulated and how not to accumulate any furthur and that's because Karma is like a glue which keep the body and soul together, with zero karma your soul cannot hold to your body. It has to leave. So, to finish the things he started, he has to create karma, though very pety ones which he can drop whenever he wants. I am not sure and could be interly wrong but that's probably how his wife left this world too, a concious end. The only turndown I felt was that, he did not extensively give instructions to readors so as to take there charge on their own completely, maybe it's not possible and you do need help but I would have loved if gave more steps to liberation. Another thing is that I felt the information is great, but most of it is of no use for a common person. But yes, if you want to be a mystic, it's a good beginning.
