My old glass bottle was broken and I purchased this item on amazon. The bottle is good. The look is also like the old one and I found this at reasonable price

1. Glass seems to be low grade or low quality 2. There is manufacturing defects. Perhaps the process followed in making glass has some flaws . ( attached picture ) Explaination on #2 : Perhaps process isn’t the standard in making this glass bottle. As clearly there have been trapped air on outside surface of glass . If trapped air has glass shell around it equally distributed then perhaps it might hold , but if one side ( outside or inside ) has thin shell it will break as air will expand when temperatures rise. If it’s outside you will have dent if it’s inside then glass may enter in edible material which may cause harm. 3. There is some smell from inside the glass. Perhaps by cleaning you can get rid off but not very sure I will use this in kitchen. 4. Only good thing about this bottle is cap and ergonomics. 5. I didn’t like the sharpness of bottle. As in glass is slightly hazy. Would prefer very clear glass. Exceptionally transparent. Which it is not. 6. If I would have to use it I’ll use it only for non edible things and storage purposes. Conclusion: Not recommended for kitchen use. And other places use it with caution. As glass doesn’t feel like highest quality or manufactured with wrong processes. Either will lead to some hazard. Use it with caution

Bottle is good .But beware if you are keeping it in sunlight or hot surface even for an hour ..It's base is very very thin compared to upper part...It directly breaks up ..Company should work on making base thicker to make it more durable

Looks bigger than expected. The glass, as far as I have used for now, is tempered and does not have any cracks when hot water is contained; but, for safety reasons, don't pour boiling hot water, but only use moderately hot water.
