Bulbrite 712331 Light Bulb, 1 Count (Pack of 1), Half Mirror

I purchased 5 bulbs for 3 fixtures. 18 months later I have to buy more bulbs because these didn't last very long at all. I only use these bulbs for 1 hour/day. I will definitely be looking for a different brand.

I bought these to put in a lamp that glows over my couch. It's the corner where my husband sits and I didn't want him to go blind from bare bulbs shining over his eyes while we watch television. Instead of shining down, the silver bottoms reflect the light UP and away from those sitting below.I knocked off one star because a single bulb puts off quite a bit of heat, and my lamp needed 3 of them. It's not really the fault of the bulbs, I guess. I'm just used to LED and CFL bulbs now. It never occurred to me that these would be old-style incandescent. I don't mind incandescent and prefer it for light quality, but the heat makes me concerned about the energy usage.

This is a great bulb for sure but it creates an intense amount of heat!!! I suppose this may work well if you’re trying to keep your lunch warm or even if you’re using it in a place that is chilly?

These bulbs are fantastic for getting rid of glare from lights that hang over head. With a hanging light over the breakfast nook table this bulb directs the light onto the ceiling and produces a softer lighting than one would receive even from a frosted bulb. Careful where you use them as they are designed to reflect the majority of light back towards the base so think about where you would like to use them. As they are inexpensive the recommendation would be to buy at least one and try it out in several locations to see how it affects the lighting in your house. The mirroring is first rate and the bulb construction is very good, for this the item gets a five star rating.

I use them in a large floor mounted 'engineering' lamp.It blocks the view of the filament and directs the lightonto the 15 inch reflector perfectly.I buy then two at a tie since I use the light almost every day for three to four hours.When one blows I buy two more.Always have a spare available.Light up my desk and keyboard perfectly.

This bulb with its chrome finish looks much classier in my mid-century modern lamp than a normal bulb. The chrome finish also helps reflect the light up which lessens the harshness of the light shining down. It's best to feel like I'm not being interrogated while relaxing on my couch. I've found the 100W is still a little too bright for me. I've switched it out with a 60W version.

Perfect. Casts the light upwards and works with a plug in dimmer.

The mirrored half is not symmetrical so when it’s in the socket it looks crooked. Also when the light is on it cause the mirrored piece to have sections that are different than the other, making a blobby looking glow through the mirror. Terrible pieces.

These are nice and bright. The 60 watt ones did not have nearly enough light. The only issue was the heat generated.
