Its a direct fit. Not much else to be said about it. Mine was wobbling like my mom wearing heels for the first time, so it was pretty well toasted. This fixed the problem, and installed with ease.Just a little tip. If you're going to do this job on the 4.0 in a zj, take out the radiator. Please. I punched a hole in mine. That, and replace that seal behind the balancer pully. Then you shouldn't need to take everything apart twice 👍

Purchased this to replace the balancer on my son's 99 Jeep Cherokee. For those who don't know, the balancer is two pieces of metal with a rubber isolator sandwiched between them. They can last forever, but occasionally they fail and the pulley part will walk off. If you notice a wobble in your pulley, replace it immediately.We had his separate so we purchased this. It is easy to install with the right tools. You'll need a balancer puller and installer. You'll be dead in the water if you don't. We realized that my correct install took had grown legs, so we had to run to the store to buy a new one. Once we got it installed, it was as simple as putting the new belt on and tightening it back up.This is a great quality Dorman part, you can trust this!

Fit my 1996 Cherokee well, it is a tight fit on the crank and requires a bit of persuasion.
