The YANWEN Crank Pulley Tool for Subaru Works GREAT!!!
I read all of the reviews with people talking about the smaller bolts/pins being too flimsy andbending under stress so I was a little apprehensive as my car, 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i non-turbowould use the smaller bolts. When I assembled it and put it on the crank pulley, I found that the handle was long enough for the end to rest on the frame. I made sure that everything was seated and used a breaker bar with a pipe on the end to break the pulley bolt loose, it creaked and groaned and did not want to turn loose so I added more pressure to the breaker bar and it finally turned loose.Afterword the pins/bolts that go through the tool into the pulley showed no signs of damage at all. With its low price and good quality and results I would recommend the Crank Pulley Tool.

Great tool. No need for a helper!
After watching a bunch of YouTube videos, I decided to bite the bullet and replace my timing belt myself. One great tutorial recommended using a breaker bar, resting on the chassis, and turning the engine over to loosen the crank pulley bolt, but this seemed kinda scary to me (and it didn't really provide a workable re-installation procedure) so I bought this $30 tool on Amazon. I realized that the tool is long enough so the end can rest on the chassis, against the work of your torque wrench, making it unnecessary to solicit help from a friend or stranger. Just turn the crank pulley (clockwise) until the holes are in a suitable position, push the tool in, and then use your torque wrench. Great price... hoping I won't be using it again anytime soon, but I'll be happy to lend it to a friend in need ))

Be careful
The assembly for the tool is fine but be careful if the crankshaft is rusted at all, you'll slip as bust your head on the alternator. (Definitely dont know from experience) the tool is heavy duty and has its original use but if you're looking for a home defence weapon this will beat and overpower your average metal baseball bat unless its lead filled

works exactly for what its advertised for
I needed to pull the crank bolt off my 2002 wrx and this thing was perfect for the task when set up right, held the crank pully tight, braced against the frame and let me pull the crank pully bolt free, would recommend for this particular service, works when braced against the frame, if you manage to warp or bend the nuts that it comes with I recommend not using it like a hammer
