Well made inlet box
Using this inlet box as a generator inlet for my main breaker panel. The box is well made, constructed of heavy-gauge steel and the paint job is good too. The knockout covers are gasketed which is a nice touch. Some improvements I'd like to see, even if it increased the price:- More than just one tiny screw holding the outlet/coverplate on the box. Once you squish all the 6-gauge wires into the box and smoosh the cover panel back on, the cover wants to spring back at you. That one, tiny screw on the front is fighting to keep the cover on. Maybe put two screws on the sides of the box?- Multiple connector size knockout options like a regular junction box. This box comes with 3/4" sized knockouts only. 3/4" conduit is kind of tight for 3, 6-gauge wires and a 10-gauge ground wire especially if the run is not straight. I moved up to 1" conduit and had to drill out the 3/4" knockout with a step bit.- A metal plate holding the outlet into the box. This plate is plastic and plastic gets brittle over time, especially in the Texas heat where I live.

Beware- no knockouts on box
This inlet box is well made, and was very easy to install EXCEPT for one glaring omission. There are NO KNOCKOUTS on the box. There are embossed stampings where the cable connection COULD go, but they cannot be punched out like a normal knockout. The hole must be bored out, and considering that this device is meant to handle up to 50 Amps, it requires a pretty large opening to handle the substantial connector. It's also made out of very heavy gauge steel, so it requires the additional purchase of a professional hole punch in order to make the opening needed to connect a 1" conduit. If the manufacturer could handle stamping a "guide" for where the connectors should go, it would have been a very easy task to just go all the way and make them real knockouts. Other than this "glitch" the device works perfectly, is well made, and is very easy to install.
