I recently purchased the Camel Wax Crayons + 1 Glitter Shade Free for my child, and my experience with these crayons has been quite average. While they serve their purpose to some extent, there are a few drawbacks that make them fall short of my expectations. Firstly, the inclusion of a free glitter shade was a nice touch and caught my child's attention immediately. The variety of colors offered by the set is commendable and allows for creative exploration. My child was excited to try out different shades while creating artwork. However, the major downside of these crayons is their durability. As you mentioned, they have a tendency to break easily, which can be frustrating for both parents and children. The fragile nature of the crayons leads to frequent interruptions during coloring sessions, and it can be disappointing for a child to see their favorite crayon snap after just a short period of use. Additionally, the color payoff of some crayons left something to be desired. Some shades appeared faint and required multiple layers to achieve the desired vibrancy, which can be a bit discouraging for young artists who are eager to see their creations come to life. On the positive side, the wax composition of the crayons allows for smooth coloring and minimal resistance on paper. They are easy for children to grip and use, which is important for fostering a positive coloring experience. In terms of value for money, the inclusion of a glitter shade and the variety of colors is appreciated. However, the issue of breakage significantly impacts the overall value and usability of the crayons.
