Retro to the max!
Want to step back into the 80's and 90's? Buy this unit. Love the retro drumbeat. Not a synthetic, not 50's, 60's, but solidly in the 80's, 90'sLove it..easy to understand, great sounds. Glad I bought it.

Easiest drum machine to program
The RD-6 sounds great and is super easy to learn compared to most drum machines. With individual outs (besides combined clap/cymbal) you can customize the sound with external effects. Syncs perfectly with my RD-8 and TD-3 using the sync in/out.

Junk
This is overpriced junk. Worth about 20-30$ max and is really just a childs toy. It is very likely if you buy this it will end up in your closet or the trash. I can't believe Behringer made such overpriced trash. It's got a lot of buttons to basically do much of nothing. They could have added way more features such as different drum kits and the ability to program it from a computer but nope.

A Manual Would Make This a 5-Star Product
The sounds and functionality are incredible. Behringer deserves a lot of credit for making classic synths accessible to the rest of us. But, this isn’t a drum machine you can use right out of the box unless you already understand how drum machines work (which I don’t).There is no manual in the packaging, or on Behringer’s website. Just a brief user’s guide, which amounts to “plug it in and turn it on.” A brief primer on how to build a drum pattern from scratch would be immensely helpful.Thankfully, there are enough YouTube demos out there, so I was able to learn how to use this drum machine.

Surprised by this
The sounds are just what I wanted and I'm surprised by the track mode. Excellent, simple drum machine from the past!

It is advertised as what it is.
After viewing YouTube, I found it helpful and easier to use.

Not quite impressed
The distortion feature is HORRIBLE sounding!!Not able to synch up other Behringer sequencers via midi and synch in/out.Instruction manual is horrible too.The sounds are really nice and clean!I like the output features for each instrument. But this is not the machine for me, unfortunately.

Underwhelming
It's neat and fun to play with but that's about it.
