Good quality & value
This diverter had all the features I was looking for: all metal construction, lever switch, correct size, good price, so I decided to order it in spite of the singular bad review it had. I'm guessing they either forgot to use the o-ring to seal it to the faucet, or ordered the wrong part, because mine is exactly what I needed to attach my countertop water filter (with 1/4" tubing) to my standard kitchen faucet. It works perfectly, seems good quality, and I can't forsee it giving out any time soon. It doesn't come with tubing, I just cut the end off the old tube and reconnected it. No tools strictly necessary, but I did use pliers to tighten down the nut over the tubing connection, to prevent leaks.

EASY Installation and Works MUCH Better Than The Original Part
This replacement for what came with the water filter I purchased is actually an improvement over the original and gives you a better water flow when not using the water filter. I also got about 10 feet of new hose (made for water and food) from my local hardware store (just to start with everything clean) and it went on the connections at both ends VERY easily. I’m NOT at all very “mechanically-oriented”, so this had to be “drop dead” easy for ME to make it work!I may just get a new one with every replacement water filter cartridge to have EVERYTHING clean (since I’ve got plenty of new, clean hose left over as well), but we’ll have to see when the time comes. It may be possible to adequately clean this diverter, but our water is really bad for leaving deposits behind and also tiny pieces of rock.

This works excellent
This is the second one we purchased. We purchased one years ago for our alkaline machine. Our other one due to moving numerous times looked really old so we purchased a nice new shiny one. Now we have regular spicket water as well as alkaline with a turn of the handle.

Decent quality and design
Good quality. Mostly metal except for the aerator section which is chrome colored plastic. The washers that came with it were not compatible (thickness) with my particular faucet so you may need an assortment on hand to achieve the required seal to prevent blow by. Initially, I had a difficult time breaking loose the lever mechanism without feeling like I was going to break it. Like it was seized into place. Some hot water helped. After having this installed for a month+, the only complaint I have is that every now and then when I bump the lever while doing dishes, the lever arm comes loose. It doesn't take much in the way of force, either. To tighten, remove the decorative cap on the lever and tighten down the small phillips head screw. Would I buy this again? Yes.Edit (Sept 26,2024)It's been 6+ yrs and still going strong. Decided to update with a time saving hack. Should the handle/lever loosen due to a bump/jarring - make sure water is off, grab lever near pivot point (where screw is located), push inward (slight pressure... no need to go godzilla) while working lever back and forth (open and closed positions) several times. This should tighten screw adequately. This little hack has served me well for 5+ yrs and still haven't had to touch a screw driver to it.

Planned obsolescence or defective??
Nice valve but started leaking after one year.Trying another in case of manufacturing defect. If second one is the same, will try a different manufacturer.

Best on Market
I have gone through two diverters with the little pull knob, not sure what happens but after about a year they just break internally. This diverter is solidly built, nothing feels cheap or plasticky. It's easy to install, allows the water to flow freely when in normal mode which is a nice change over the other systems which often backed up the water a forced it to leak out the base of the faucet. The Malida is a bit large but the lever is easy to grip and move when you want to divert the water to your other water system. Overall its a solid product and would recommend it over any of the pull knob systems.

It leaks very badly from the top.
I received the item today. When I took it out of the package I was impressed with the sturdy construction. It is solid and well made. Installation was a breeze. Took me less than 5 minutes which included removing my old diverter valve which was leaking. My joy was short lived because when I turned on the water the thing started spraying water all over the kitchen. It leaked more than my 20 year old diverter, (different brand). To make a long story short I reinstalled my old diverter valve and threw this one in the garbage. Never again will I buy this brand!
