I was hesitant when I bought it because I had always just left the food in the bag. I began to notice when the bag got down to about half...she really wasn't excited about eating...So I decided to buy the "Vault". All I have to do is scoop her bowl (she is a large dog 85#) straight from the large opening, and then it opens like a dream and closes tight again. But the ONE THING I noticed mostly, you know how right when you open a large bag of dog food it has a really FRESH SMELL. It really smells good. Since I bought this food container...every time I open it...I am hit once again with that really FRESH SMELL. This was a wonderful purchase. It is easy to open and close. It has a large opening so I can fill her bowl right from the container...if she didn't eat it all, I just set her bowl in the container and it is fresh the next day. I think with the quality it will last as long as the puppy does, or me.

Nice Storage Container. However, it is not rodent proof. If you are storing feed in a garage or outdoor building I would recommend buying metal containers. Rats and mice will eat through this plastic. I lost 3 of these containers to rats in the barn. That said, I use one for dog food that I store in my home and it is fantastic. Easy to open, with grips that make it easy to move. The lid grips make it easy to opem and close. I would buy it again for in-home use.

Been wanting one of these for years ever since I saw them at my wife's pet facility job. Extremely easy to unscrew and screw the lid back on and its airtight seal is great for keeping unwanted pests out. I imagine you can't really stack this specific version but the ones with flat tops would be easier to stack. It holds both cat and dog food (I have two of these containers) well and keeps them very fresh, and the listed lbs it can hold is fairly accurate even with bigger sized kibble. Overall I'm very satisfied with these containers.

It doesn't take up a huge amount of storage, keeps kibble fresh.... on the plus side, our fur baby can't just open and nibble until he gets sick. We bought a different type at first not thinking anything of our little fur baby being so smart as sliding the compartment and getting into his food. Now we have this nice Vault and his kibble is safe.

One of the best upgrades i’ve ever gotten for my pup. I love to buy in bulk, so I often get a 24lbs bag of his dog food (blue buffalo) but those latch food bins are so horrible, they are always breaking or not sealing correctly. This product seals so nicely, fits in my closet perfectly, it really doesn’t take up too much space despite its size! I put an entire 24lbs bag in it and there’s still some room for more!

Sturdy. Lid open and closes easily. It seems to keep pests out. But it definitely does not hold 35 lbs. This is most of a 33 lb bag of Science Diet Small Bites. It's filled to the brim. I'm guessing there's about 3-4 lbs that wouldn't fit and thankfully the bag is resealable.
