Lets start with the nuts and bolts here. The packaging is great with the pop open top and the pills are easy to swallow. They seem to be quality capsules as there doesnt seem to be much cinnamon residue in the bottle. And if you like the taste of cinnamon, you won't be mad at the burps you may have after taking. Now for the why. I take two to three of these with any carb heavy meals to reduce some of the effects of the blood sugar spike that comes after. There is plenty of literature out there (and I am not a doctor nor is this health advice), but here is the main points: Cinnamon partially deactivates the enzyme amylase (which breaks down sugars and carbohydrates into forms that can be absorbed), causing a slower absorption of sugars, thus stabilizing your blood sugar over time. So with that said, I can definitely feel the difference of feeling less tired and bogged down after a carb heavy meal. Is it placebo? Maybe. But I can certainly see a difference pre/post.
