Chappie: The Art of the Movie

I love this book, it is so cool! I would definitely recommend it for anyone who watched Chappie and loved it. There is a lot of extra information in it (if you're weirdly obsessed like I am, you'll realise a lot of it is repeated from the special/bonus features clips on the Blu-Ray release; still, there's enough extra stuff to make the purchase worth it). Great price, and very cool collectible item for all Chappie fans!

Awesome sauce- lots of great development sketches and finished renders showing the entire process pretty much of designing the look of the film, well worth picking up if you enjoyed Chappie at all.

I bought this book whilst I was still watching the film. I thought that the world created by Blomkamp could be spectacular in a dedicated book exploring the art and thought process involved in bringing the movie to life.I expected a wealth of concept art, designs and 3d models. I was bitterly disappointed when I got into it though, with more still movie shots than anything else and grammer mistakes throughout. One image of chappie was actually replicated so many times it filled four pages.Disappointing to say the least.

A big fan of Neill Blomkamp's work, but sadly there's very little artwork in this book compared to District 9 or Elysium in comparison.
