This an excellent quality tool.
Had a problem with the pins reaching the holes in the gland nut. The inside of the tool frame was hitting the ram causing the pins to not reach the gland nut holes.(Bobcat Excavator Arm Cylinder). This was due to the extra thickness of the casting(note the arrows). Did not want to machine off part of the inside of the metal frame which would have weakened it. So I machined out two new pins with an eccentric (off center) stud. This brought the pins (studs) closer to the inside of the frame enabling them to to fit into the gland nut holes. The tool now works perfectly. Maybe you can explain the problem to your supplier and they in turn can get the manufacturer to modify the frame to make an absolutely perfect tool. In the picture on the right you can see the machined "off set" pins correcting the fit to the gland nut. Thanks, all in all great tool.

Serious tool
The pic is deceptively small but It is 16mm thick on the body and 8mm thick on the hinge area. 3/4" drive is needed to drive it. this thing is a serious tool and i love having it for my Case 580B that i use and service myself. This is a well built and very handy tool that allows me to take apart all the hydraulic cylinders on my backhoe, replacing several static tools that fit only once size cylinder.

Nice, but check your hole sizes
I gave 4 stars because of the incorrect pin size. First off, this is a substantial tool and appears to be built to handle a lot of torque. Unfortunately, the reversible pins are larger than the sizes stated in the description on both Amazon and the OTC website. I need to repack hydraulic cylinders with 1/4" (0.250") holes. The small side of the pins that came with the tool measure 0.265" - too big unless I start drilling out the holes to fit. I did contact OTC. I got through easily and Jerry, the customer service person, was polite. He informed me that OTC allows the pins to be manufactured with wide tolerances, up to 0.270" for the small pin and 0.335 for the large pin, a BIG size difference when trying to fit a hardened steel pin into a hole!. He said they've been building them the same way because the pin holes on a lot of hydraulic cylinders are bored oversize. Unfortunately for me, mine are not! It would be nice if OTC and Amazon would change the product description to show the actual size of the pins using the high tolerance measurement in decimal, as 0.270" and 0.335", instead of the incorrect 1/4" and 5/16" sizes

Excellent value for the money
I thoroughly recommend this tool to remove glands and cylinder ends; along with a 36-inch long breaker bar, it has worked perfectly on a wide range of hydraulic cylinders for me (JD, Cat, Hyster). I don’t like to use an air hammer/chisel except as a last resort, as they tend to chew up the glands/cylinder caps; this tool prevents that and the two different sizes of pins on each side is a nice useful touch. Tool is sturdy and well-built.

Quality is definitely a standard in this product
A little pricey but you get what you pay for. Cheaper is definitely not better with tools like this. Low quality tools won’t do the job they break and that causes a delay of job you are doing. Buy it once a use it for a long time

Works as intended. Very rugged tool.
I used this tool while rebuilding the hydraulic cylinders on my Case backhoe. Worked perfectly and fit all the gland nuts as intended. I used this on 3-1/2" to 5" cylinders. Update: I've used this tool to rebuild almost every cylinder on my 855C. One of the cylinders was over-tightened to the point that no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to come loose (torch, sledge hammer, etc). I finally put a 3/4" breaker bar on this and attached it to my 3/4 ton plow truck with a tow strap. A few tugs later the gland nut cracked loose. I'm really impressed that this tool can survive such brutal treatment!

Heavy Duty
I have not used this wrench yet. Wrench appears to be built for the tough jobs. I also purchased the OTC 7463 wrench (for 1/2 drive ratchet). This is an actual OTC item, not a cheap knockoff.

Set screws.
Set screws were useless. Recessed drive holes ruined. Replaced with M5 X .8 X 8mm Allen cap screws. Have not had opportunity to check functionality.

Used this to remove the gland cap on a pair of hydraulic cylinders on a 1984 Hyster forklift. The first one it worked easily. The second one, a previous owner had used a punch to turn the cap and deformed the holes. So the tool just slipped out. I had to resort to using an air hammer to get the cap off. I did repair the cap and drilled new holes, and used the tool to reinstall without issue. The tool is a bit awkward to use with a bit 3/4" breaker bar.
