Click: The Virtual Meetings Book

It is a basic book for organizing and implementing virtual meetings. It gives you the basic tools to achieve this. However, before reading this, I recommend reading the "Secrets of Facilitation" by the same author. It would be an introduction to facilitation in general and "Click" will help you apply it to virtual settings.

I took an in-person training workshop from Michael Wilkinson in 2012. I walked away impressed by his workshop organization, participant engagement, and focus on results. He brings those same qualities to Click. Click is smartly structured, and offers no-nonsense insights, techniques and tips, throughout. Use it, and you will definitely up your comfort and competence quotient, when it comes facilitating virtual meetings. As a virtual facilitator myself, I highly recommend Click. You’ll learn a lot from this book. I know I did!

Great handbook for undergrads studying group meeting in virtual and digital environments. Not scholarly, but practical reference.

Very clearly written. Useful information for any type of meeting and specific virtual meeting tips. The summary at the end of the chapter makes it user friendly.

Mostly a reiteration of his book The Secrets of Masterful Meetings. Didn’t find much that helps with virtual meetings. Disappointing.

Very good tips on how to enhance the quality of virtual meetings, how to achieve results and how to engage the audience. I also like the additional tools and job aids contained on a web site that is referred to in the book.
