Bob's Red Mill Pure Baking Soda -- 16 oz (Pack of 2)

Great value for a good product. Hard to find in stores.

This is so much better than the regular baking soda. I use it wash my fruits, vegetables and I also drink a little if I get upset stomach.

I ordered this because I trust the company first of all Monday but they delivered this on time.It was packaged wonderful And I will order again when I run out.

I love this baking soda. Very pure. I use it my drinking water and coffee. I use to brush my teeth. It's a good scalp detox, face mask. Also it makes my teeth feel silky-smooth.

Even though this package took longer to arrive than all of my original orders, which came almost immediately, I was happy to finally receive it. The items were wrapped in zip lock bags to address the problem of the original packaging opening up in transit reported by other consumers who previously ordered it. I was not happy, however to see foam peanuts surrounding the bags. Please avoid using these foam peanuts as they do not break down for a long time in the environment. Paper stuffed around the items would have been sufficient to protect the product..this is how I received my other items safely from other stores.When I ordered the baking soda from Red Mill it was specifically to avoid the aluminum that is so freely put our food without any concern for the fact that aluminum does not belong in the body. Call me slightly paranoid, but I have to SEE on the packaging that the product is indeed 'Aluminum Free'. On amazon, this product is featured as such, and the list of ingredients state: Sodium Bicarbonate. I am unaffected by any product that claims to be ' natural', since this word is highly overused and exploited. Also, there are many companies that claim to say such and such is on the list of ingredients, and at the same time fail to say what is ALSO in the products other than what is on their list of ingredients. I am trusting that Red Mill's product is 'pure', but I would have felt better if they had said ON the package, 'ALUMINUM FREE', since avoiding any aluminum product are some people's concern.When I purchased this product in my local health food store before they phased it out, the package did say 'ALUMINUM FREE' otherwise I would never had bought it. Red Mill's Baking Soda is a finely grain soda that dissolves quickly and is easier on the teeth than the common brand. I also put it in powdered Vitamin C to make the ascorbic into ascorbate. So to belay my point, I use this baking soda not just for household cleaning (love it on my pink marble! btw, I use the regular store brand for the household) but for daily ingestation and baking.I give this product four stars for the above mentioned and hope that somehow Red Mills will adjust their labeling to include right on the package...'Aluminum Free' as well as the pesky peanuts that I now have to find a way to safely discard.

I know 99% of the use cases for this might revolve around baking or cleaning but this baking soda is great for heartburn as well and the taste is much more bearable than other baking soda brands.

Expensive but worth it for making homemade deodorant!
