I actually developed software/hardware for these at work, so when the PI 4 came out, I couldn't resist. I like this kit for a number of reasons. It included1. HDMI cable2. 32GB SD Card3. SD card reader4. Four heat sinks (most places only give you three)5. Case6. 3A Power supply7. RPi 4 w/4GB memoryIt booted up, installed the OS and ran fine. The faster processor and more RAM make a big difference. In the past I was hesitant to run Chromium (web browser) because it was painfully slow. But this is very acceptable in terms of response time.Yes, the PI 4 runs hot. While installing the OS and updating the distribution the heat sinks became VERY hot to the touch. I had read this was the case for the PI 4, so I ordered a separate case with a fan. Which is being shipped via slow boat from China (literally), so I won't know how that works out for another month.

The four star review is almost entirely due to the poor cooling on the official case and the fact that kits are pretty much the only way to get a Pi that isn't bizarrely marked up on Amazon. The Pi itself is incredible.Still working on getting all of my little projects set up, but out of the box with heatsinks and a fan blowing on it, it will play 1080p 60fps YouTube videos in Raspbian. That's pretty impressive for something this small and power-sipping. In the official case, it throttles down almost perpetually once I really get into coding with music playing in the background. I've got an Argon One case coming in, but unfortunately it's shipping from Hong Kong so I'm dealing with a desk fan blowing on the open case for now.I haven't used the SD card adapter. The SD card that came with it appears to be a real, fast, Samsung card, pre-loaded with NOOBs. The official power supply appears to work great. The HDMI cable works well, although look for a black one if you want it to blend into your workspace a little better.I'm sure I'll be buying 3-4 more of these, just without the case.

I like having all official Raspberry Pi accessories. This is the best chance they’re well designed for the purpose. I am a bit surprised RPi foundation hasn’t started using a fan yet. I understand they rely on throttling the CPU, but that’s not always the best option.The markup for convenience of bundling and Prime shipping is a little high for my taste at $120. The total cost of parts at qty 1 is $103.“Official 1.8Meter HDMI-Micro HDMI Cable“— this is incorrect. I received a 1m cable.
