This is an amazingly durable pail.
I absolutely love this pail. It is so well made and durable. I do have one problem I totally abused it in 2018. I went on vacation and forgot to empty it. This was in September 2018. When i came home it was really gross so i set in on the back steps and then went out of town again. It was December before i tried to address the mess I had made out of it. I finally emptied it and brought it back inside January 2019. So it spent 4 months outside in Texas weather with rotting veggies in it! Today (yes March 7 2019 I faced cleaning it up. The inside was really gross and I thought it was rusted I wish i would have taken a picture of the before. To my surprise It is absolutely gorgeous. There are some small spots on the lid that the copper coat has been damaged. I put off cleaning it up because I thought I completely ruin it. It's beautiful. Also the filters also prevented the smell from filling the house. I'm amazed at it being outside for 4 months, knocked around by raccoons with rotting vegetation (including citrus peels) in it and looks almost as good as new. AMAZING.

Good compost pail- no smell or insects. Some finish wear.
Good compost pail. Doesn't leak smells at all- the best part. Not having any insect issues either. Six months in it also doesn't have any pitting or rust- real stainless steel. My only gripe is that the copper finish does wear off- in my case only on the bottom, so it still looks good. Doesn't detract from functionality, so just a minor issue. Haven't changed the filter yet, but they are a bit tricky to get in place.

It gets it done
The price could be better, but the lid is easy to manage and we've had no problems with insects or smells, but then we empty it a couple times a week and we don't use it for anything that rots very quickly. It's not huge, and you'll empty it a fairly often for that reason. The inside is holding up to coffee grounds and vegetable scraps so far, but I wonder how the acidic nature of my scraps will go with the plating on the inside. Only time will tell. The compost falls out easily when you want it to and the handle works well, and it's not heavy. It's oddly pretty; it looks fine in a kitchen.Satisfied overall.

Looks great but...
We've had a lot of different kinds of these containers and this was our most recent attempt at getting a durable, stink free, good looking table top compost bucket for the kitchen. This one looked and performed like we hoped at first. Then, the metal started getting little pinholes in the bottom. From food acids I guess? But we had to send it to the scrap yard after a few months because there was always food juices leaking out of it. Too bad because the copper finish looks great.

Attractive copper finish that does not look cheap. Easy to clean. Works well.
I've been using this for 1.5 years. It has a permanent place on my kitchen counter. It does not look cheap in my kitchen where I also have a lot of real, antique copper items. This does not have that ghastly pinkish-hue that a lot of inexpensive copper items have. I've included a picture for color comparison. This bin is easy to clean. I generally line it with a paper lunch bag. It does not hold a lot, so it's best used for odds and ends (lime peels, onion skins, egg shells, etc.) but if you are prepping a lot of veggies at once or eating a whole watermelon you'll need another system.

We're very happy with our compost pail
We're very happy with our compost pail. Looks much nicer on the counter than the plastic Tupperware we were using. The carbon filters keep the smell down really well too. I was concerned about the footprint as my kitchen counter is small but it fits near the sink very well. I don't use liners in it because I don't really feel that is necessary. I simply hose out the pail after dumping it in my compost and occasionally wash with soap in the sink. It doesn't get buggy or smelly because of the charcoal filters. Good system!

How Did I Live Without It!
I ordered this compost bin after having my garbage disposal removed. I have not missed the disposal at all but wonder how in the world did I ever get by without this countertop compost bin. I absolutely love it. The copper color is perfect for my kitchen and the size of the bin is great. It holds a ton of scraps and there has been no smell whatsoever. I would purchase this product again and again!

Incredible product, huge recommendation!
Love the copper finish on this compost bin! Looks are not cheap, and it’s very durable. This is the first one I’ve had on my countertop, and was worried about the smell and fruit flies. I typically empty mine once a week, and so far no smells, or any other evidence that this is even a compost bin!!Trust me, if it were......my husband would be complaining night and day about it!Great product!
