Pros: simply well made. Attractive. The note paper is ok. The pen that came with it is awesome. Cons: I can't think of any. I wanted this simple designed field book to take notes with. I expected a thin split leather book of mid quality. Nope, this is a heavy grade leather. The stitching is very well done. The pen appears to be leather wrapped. I really like this. I will say it can scuff easily but I find that it greatly adds to the books patenia. I highly recommend it.

I bought this nearly 2 years ago and it has been in constant daily use since then. Its had a fairly rough life but still looks great with years of life left in it. The leather had developed a great patina, just the way leather should look. It fits a notebook, several credit cards and a couple of pens with no issues
