Best Canned Compressed Air Alternative - The O2 Hurricane 220+ Mph Canless Air Special Edition

We have been using the 10oz compressed air cans to clean out our iRobot Roomba. They have been working satisfactory but if you hold it down for 30 seconds or more, the can gets chilled and thus reducing the air pressure. Making it a real PITA. This has the same pressure with no limitations on how long to use it. Cleaned out the Roomba several times (more than 7) so far and still appears to have full charge. We have used it probably 90 to 120 seconds of continuous blowing each time. This would have been impossible using canned air. A little noisy, but who cares if it works. We do not have babies who would be sleeping.

Bought this as a replacement for my older o2 hurricane which could barely hold charge.Use the same attachments that I had previously. It is loud as most of these higher power devices are. Found it is great for cleaning out the dyson and other bag less vacuums. In addition helps with pushing water out of car grooves when washing the car.

We decided to purchase this product to reduce costs in the office. The machine does better then can air and will be our replacement now. The only downfall to this product is the sound it makes, it sounds like a jet taking off. I recommend ear plugs when using. Other then that all in all a good product.

I previously measured the Hurricane Special Edition and did a review using instruments that I had. For improved accuracy, I purchased a PRM FMDFA15T direct reading Rotameter (1-15 CFM range). That unit allows the CFM to be read directly, but because it has an Adjustment Valve and Right Angle connector I was concerned that it was not adequate and probably caused restriction. I purchased a PRM FMDFG25 Rotameter that is a much larger unit (1 -15CFM range) that is 10 inches long and about 2 inches square. It has 1 inch diameter straight thru connections. Using this new Rotameter produced major improvement in readings. I returned the earlier Rotameter that had serious limitations for air duster measurements.The Hurricane 2 Special Edition Nozzle diameter is .525 inches = .0438 feet. The Nozzle Area is .2165 square inches = .0015 square feet. Velocity in Ft/Min x Nozzle Area in Square Feet = CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute).The total airflow measured using the new Rotameter is 15.0 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). The nozzle velocity is 10000 Feet /Minute = 166.67 Feet/Second = 113.64 Miles/Hour. These are excellent results and much higher than typical canned air. This result is also higher than the 13.4 value that the manufacturer had measured by a consultant lab.I also measured the force at 1 inch from a precision scale = 60 grams.With a Lifetime Warranty, this unit is an excellent value and delivers superior performance.
