PENGUIN Man Alone with Himself

I thought a lot about what rating to give but I'm not confident that I've done it appropriately so I apologise. There's no doubting Nietzsche's brilliance but it is very difficult to pick up his work and just quickly read it through like you would with any other author. Nietzsche's work is difficult for the mere mortal to penetrate without an introduction or notes and this book has neither (the Penguin Great Ideas version). In order to understand it I needed to watch a couple of YouTube videos that provided explanations. I would recommend his work but not necessarily this version of it. Nietzsche's overall work deserves 5 stars, but the layperson needs more support than was provided here, hence only 3 stars for this particular book.

Well , the book seems very fragile, but the pages and smell on its own is just brilliant. In the end of the day, it is just a small sitting of Nietzsche anyways.

Immensely deep.. Would have been better if they could combine his other works too. Short book though.
