It works, but it's weird
It works great for salad, but I bought it for it's tong functionality. Yes it picks up stuff, if you wiggle it around your food enough to get a decent grip. It's honestly much more work than it's worth as tongs, but yes it's great for salad. I would replace it but I'm too lazy to buy a new one right now.
