If you are a Bob Skinner fan, reading this latest novel is a must. Although the narrative perspective shifts from chapter to chapter, the plot continuity and character development remain pure Jardine. I have always wondered about the “outcome” of Lenny post-prison; this novel brings Lenny front and center back into the Skinner character cluster. Don’t be fooled by the cover.

My wife has read all of Mr Jardine books and has never been disappointed but this new book is even better and has more twist and turns so as the husband of said lady this is the best book I have ever read. So my next job is to get all of Quintin Jardine books

I've been reading t Bob Skinner books since Pontius was a Pilot, and I've really enjoyed them. Up to now! In his latest book, Jardine has resorted to frequent use of 4-letter words.(I was in the RAF for 30 years, so I'm no prude...).I just think with Jardine's great writing talent, he didn't need to have gone down this path. As far as I'm concerned, he has done himself a dis-service. ...still a good story 'tho!! Regards, MW
