These are very tight on the thighs if you have chubby thighs. I ordered a med. and I am 5' 140 lbs. and they were so tight I could've wear them. Order larger or get a full pantyhose.

Q: What are the measurements of the small, medium and large size open toe stockings?

The chart of measurements is located on their Amazon page. Scroll down to the chart and it provides quite a bit of detailed measurements for ankle, calf, thigh, and length to thigh. Too lengthy to add here.

Q: how do i measure my leg for the right size, and should i purchase the next size up for comfort during surgical recovery time

Unfortunately I can't answer as my leg was measured by a pharmacist and I was told to get medium.
