Great for grandparents!
The frame works as advertised. Our kids don't reside near us, but they loaded the app on their phone and have been sending us pics of their families. The frame is large enough and super clear so that the pictures we receive look great. The only minor problem was with the setup. It's necessary for the frame to connect to wifi in order to be fully set up, but when I turned the frame on for the first time, the wifi was not turned on. There are no instructions on how to correct this problem. Luckily, I have a tech background, and after a frustrating hour of experimenting, I finally got the wifi turned on and managed to get the frame set up. If you are not tech savvy and this happens to you, you could have problems. But it works fine now, and we all enjoy sending pictures to the frame.Updated about 3 months after purchase. The frame suddenly stopped working. No idea what went wrong. It happened even as we were looking at the frame from across the room. One moment it was scrolling through pictures, the next moment the screen goes completely black. There was power to the frame because you could see the screen light around the edges of the picture, but the picture area itself went black. Also, it has a touch screen, and I could hit the "active" areas on the screen and get the audible feedback, but the display never changed. When I contacted Amazon, they said I'd have to talk with the seller and forwarded my message to the seller. It took several exchanges in order to really explain the problem. The seller is a Chinese company, and my impression is that we were conversing via a translation program. Eventually, the company agreed to replace my defective unit, and I sent the original one back. The fact that the frame failed in less than 3 months of use has me a little worried, but I think it's worth the risk to try another one. It's only been a couple weeks, but his one is working fine so far. It even set up perfectly the first time (unlike the one I sent back). The display quality is one of the best I've seen, and the app that pushes pictures to the frame is very easy to use. So the reduction of one star is due to the first one failing so quickly, and the little bit of frustration in getting a replacement. But, if you're looking for a nice frame that will allow the family to send regular pictures to the parents or grandparents, then I still recommend this frame. I'll update my review if I have any more problems.

Login problems. App is not the greatest.
The frame works great and looks great. The app is glitchy. We hadn't loaded any new pics in a few months. I went to sign in and it didn't recognize my credentials. Went to 'forgot password" and got a message saying "data record doesn't exist". I saw on the app store a fix. On the forgot password page "Americas" should be chosen if you are in the USA. Choose some other country. Then go back and choose Americas. You should be able to update your password. It worked for us.

Things to know if using pictures from a PC....
This frame and its companion app are fairly intuitive if you plan on managing uploads from a mobile device. Be aware however that if you have a lot of pictures for your initial upload, the app will not allow you to load more than nine pictures at a time, so the process will not be quick. If on the other hand, you manage your photos from your PC, there is no way to send them directly to the frame via wifi. Instead you will have to load them onto a micro SD card (via a card reader / writer), and then import from that. I placed all of the photos I wanted to transfer into a Google Photos album, and then selected Download All (to my SD card). When I then inserted the card into the frame, none of the pictures were visible. Since the frame will not display the SD card's file tree, I realized that I had to put the card back into the PC, open the file folder created by Google Photos, and then batch copy all of the individual photos to another temporary folder, and then finally copy them all back onto the card (so they were no longer contained in a folder). Then when I re-inserted the card the pictures were finally visible in the frame's Settings / Manage Photos menu. Unfortunately the frame's software does not have a Select All feature, so you must then individually select each photo you want to import. None of this is very clear in the minimal directions. Note that when inserting the SD card into the frame, it must be orientated with the card's metal prongs facing the front of the frame. Aside from the minor initial upload hassle, I do like the frame.

WONDERFUL GIFT IDEA FOR THE ONE WHO HAS EVERYTHING
Ok, so wow. I am so impressed with this photo frame. I originally ordered this item as a gift for my grandmother. Figured we would load it up with family photos for Christmas. I did not expect it to be SO EASY for us to add pictures AND VIDEOS (which I missed somehow that it had the capability of storing and playing video, LOVELY SURPRISE). This frame comes with an app that you simply download to your phone, connect to the device by the frame ID, and instantly send whatever media you want to the device. THE KEY SELLING POINT to this device is that you can send the Frame ID to any of your friends or family members, and they can send photos and videos as well. THIS IS A PERFECT GRANDPARENT GIFT!!!!! Ive sent the link so far to my siblings and aunts/uncles, and we are all busy filling the device with all of our family's memories, and we can continue to do so for the years to come. How awesome is that?!? Now, I CANNOT WAIT to give this to my grandmother, I can already see the tears she will have when she realizes we will ALL be there in the frame. It is a FANTASTIC way to bring us all together in these weird times we are living in.Now, on to the device itself. It comes in a very nice box, kind of similar to the feel of opening a new apple product (I mean, who doesn't love that feeling?). I was NOT expecting the frame to be so solidly made. I was expecting more of a lightweight cheap plastic-y feel. NO, it feels solid, like a quality product.Set-up was SUPER EASY. Simply plug the device in, follow the on-screen tutorial + prompts to connect to your home's wifi, download the app, and done, you're in. super ridiculously easy. The entire process, from unboxing, to uploading my first set of photos, took no longer than 10 minutes.I will more than likely be purchasing this item again, because now I want one for myself as well!
