very good product
Originally only my son needed daily eyepatching and we found that the adhesive on the Curad brand was the most gentle and that he preferred that brand. He also was fine with the Nexcare as they were far superior to the first patches we tried which left red irritated skin behind upon removal. When my daughter needed to patch, we found that the Curad adhesive wasn't sticky enough because she sweat a bit more than her brother. I think that both the Nexcare and the Curad and great for daily patching. The Curad patches are gentler but the Nexcare adhesive holds up better when damp. Neither irritate the skin. I actually buy both and we have his and her brands in the cupboard.

Strong eye patch - stays put!
When we first got these, I was a little confused because the packaging didn't look like what was on Amazon. However, they are still made by 3M and just don't have the Nexcare name on the box. Normally, we buy the Ortopad brand based on the recommendation of my son's eye doctor. However, since we were finishing a box and I wasn't sure if we would continue patching after seeing his eye doctor a week after, I wanted to get a smaller box of eye patches. My son has sensitive skin so we had previously struggled when buying eye patches, and these did bother him a little - not as much as other brands we had tried before discovering Ortopad. However, he has figured out how to remove them in a way where his skin isn't as irritated, so there's no pain. The other thing is that this eye patch is labeled to be for an adult, but it's much smaller than other brands we've used and seems comparable to the ones marketed for really little kids. It covers his eye, but I can't imagine how it would fit on an adult. I really like how these seem to stick better than any other brand we've tried. In fact, he's had a couple of times where he's cried while wearing the eye patch (not because of the eye patch) and the eye patch stays put and doesn't even get loose, despite it being wet underneath. All other patches get loose and I end up having to replace it or have him just take it off. I bet he could wear this eye patch in the shower and it wouldn't come off.

Not Just For Eyes!
This may sound kind of out there...but...these make a GREAT cost effective alternative to "breast petals". I realized this one day when I was in the drug store looking for petals and I heard the cashier talking to someone an aisle over about children's eye patches for her son's eye and how they were gentle, breathable and remove painlessly....that sounded perfect for what I was looking for too! So when I went to go check them out, the shape and size of the child size was perfect too! In the hot months where you're wearing baggy thin tanks and an unlined bra to keep cool, and need something to "cover up, these work wonders!

DO NOT BUY, WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!
Please do not buy these patches! I bought these for my 6 year old to help with her lazy eye. We have always used the 3M Nexcare Sensitive Eye Patch and we loved them... I am not sure why I bought these to try out and they are pure garbage. They do not stick to the eye, they fall off after a few seconds.

OK, But Not Large Enough and Priced Too High
Does it cover the eye? Yes. Is it really big enough for an adult? Questionable. The cotton on the inside has to be put on very carefully for it to cover the eye and not get the adhesive on part of your lid. These should be larger for adults. I also think they are overpriced!

I highly recommend it to
They work very well. With the other brands my son was able to take it off. This one's are actually able to hold until I take them off. My son wears it for three hours every day. I never had an issue with them. I highly recommend it to everybody

Comfortable stickum
My 10-yr-old has had to patch off and on for about 6 years. Some brands...the stickum is so painful on his skin, it makes him cry. It's like rubber cement. Believe me, patching is not his favorite activity...and when it's uncomfortable for him, everyone in the house has to feel his misery. This brand...not the case at all! I immediately threw out a practically new box I had found at Walgreens and will use this Nexcare brand from now on. Comfortable, easy to remove, no fess, no muss.

Non-irritating eye patch
My 15 month has to wear a patch for a couple of hours each day. Although most patches are latex free, as is this one, removing them typically irritates her skin and leaves raccoon eye for about 6 hours, sometimes more. She is used to the patches and doesn't mess with them either. The nexcare patch has just the right amount of sticky so that it stays on and can be removed very easily and quickly and doesn't pull. If you child does pull or mess with their patch, then they will probably be able to easily remove this one. Sometimes, the edge doesn't stay on completely but there's enough stick for it to stay on. I would take a less sticky product over having my child cry when I remove it and have a rash. Also, we sometimes put stickers on the patch to make it more fun as we have the skin colored ones.

The picture advertises regular size, but description of the item says "junior size". If you don't read the description carefully, you can be mislead by the Wrong picture and buy a small size!

This is the second time that I purchased these. I was very disappointed this time round as at least 5 of the patches were spoilt. Therefore I was only able to use the remaining 15. Whilst the patches are cheap to buy I had to paid post which is nearly as expensive as the patches. Will I be purchasing them a third time. No! Very disappointed.
