The Broken Token Board Game Organizer - Cosmic Encounter Compatible Collector's Edition Game Crate & Storage Box with Multiple Trays

Me and my friends recently got hooked on Cosmic Encounter, and quickly started collecting the expansions. However we got frustrated that there wasn’t nearly enough space in the original box tray to store any expansions. This custom tray solved that perfectly! All 5 expansions fit now perfectly inside the original box, which makes transporting and storage so much easier. Be warned that some of the wooden parts are a little stiff locking together, I can imagine someone being a little to forceful during assembly could easily snap the wood if not careful. However if you can manage a little DIY assembly it is totally worth getting this box kit if you love this game!

First thing I want to mention -- unlike another Broken Token organizer I've purchased, assembly of this one requires glue, and I was not aware of that. It's not a problem for the product. I just wish that it had been mentioned in the product description. Assembly was actually a bit fun for me. And it fits my Cosmic box almost perfectly (remember that CE has some odd-shaped components that don't quite fit anything). The box top doesn't sit flush with the corners of the box because of the larger pieces that have to sit on top of everything. But that's a minor quibble because the box does actually close well enough. I formerly had everything in baggies, and this is much better. I own every expansion, and with the wooden dividers in the appropriate places, the cards fit VERY tightly, with no room to breath. It takes a bit of trial and error to figure out how to store them all, but I made it. One thing I should mention -- I'm writing this as of 5/14/2016, and Cosmic Dominion is the latest expansion. IF there ever will be another expansion (not sure that there will be), then there is no way that this would be sufficient. But as of the time of this writing, you can make everything fit.

At very first glance of the product I thought it might have been made of cardboard. After looking and reading, I find out that it's made of wood. I decided to order it. Got it in and find that it's a thin but sturdy plywood. I had a few issues. I had to use glue keep things together. While it had labels on the outer edge of the boards that shows x/10 sheets, I had a hard time reading some of them because it was very light. The trays that are made for the ships don't have a bottom plate. Would allow it to be more square with a bottom place. Splinters! *pulls one out finger* Regardless of the issues I had, once the glued dried it held everything I had. The amount of cards they have in the images are way more then what come with the game and the 5 expansions that are currently available. "Cosmic Eons" is in development so hopefully it will fit with this organizer.

When I decided to buy this organizer, I was a little concerned that it was overpriced. Now that it has arrived, it is absolutely worth the money. The materials, design, and assembly instructions are all excellent. Six of the storage units snapped firmly together with minimal effort, just by following the simple diagrams. The results are amazingly sturdy, particularly considering the lightweight wood construction, and they're perfect for holding all the parts of my favorite game. Three units in my set required wood glue, so they took a little more effort, but not really difficult at all. Here are three tips: 1. In my set, Tray C and the two Tray E units required wood glue, so leave those until last. 2. Use a wood glue bottle that has a narrow spout. My Elmer's has a wide spout that puts out a ribbon of glue rather than a bead. It makes it messier when applying the glue to the narrow wood edges. 3. When you are ready to assemble your units that need glue, start with one of the Tray E units and watch this video first. [...] It made the job much easier to see the best order to assemble the parts. Overall, a great value. I will buy Broken Token products again.

Everything has its place. Easy to Medium difficulty putting pieces together.

I love this organizer. I hadn’t played the game in a couple years because it was always a pain to set up. I have 6 expansions for it at this point and it takes too long to sort through everything. Nothing is sleeved so everything fit minus a few alien powers so I just put those in an expansion box that I saved. Now it’s easy to take out and set up in no time. Very happy with this purchase. It’s absolute quality.

I love most of this organizer, except for 2 design flaws, and 1 falsehood in the description. If it wasn't for these two things 5 stars Design flaws: alien cards don't fit sleeved. Those of us who buy organizers tend to also buy sleeves. No bottom of ships container. The ships just balance between two poles one on each side. It works, but is a major pain to assemble and looks and feels flimsy a bottom would solve this issue. Falsehood: I sleeved my regular cards and they dont fit in the tray. They only need 1 or 2 mm more to fit, but alas they don't fit. The rest of the assembly is 10/10 the wood is good quality, the rest of the design is great as I would expect. (Their Race for the Galaxy organizer is a must have.) If you don't sleeve anything and are careful with the ships container this is great. If you want to protect your game, sadly look elsewhere. I'm such figuring our how to make this work. (I wood glued every connection for stability, and I do mean every connection.

I do not use any card proctors, so this box fits everything in it perfectly. I would suggest to use wood glue and glue it together as you can be picking up one of the boxes and they just fall apart on you all of the sudden. With that said, this organizer is a necessity if you have more than two expansions.

I own the base game, incursion, eons, dominion, alliance. This box is a blessing to my OCD. Everything fits neatly (however it is maxed out on aliens so it won’t hold any more aliens from other expansions). It was super easy to assemble the instructions are very clear and everything snaps well I used white glue but not sure if it was needed. Gave it a good sanding before putting it together to avoid wood dust on the cards. My only drawback is that it might not a good idea to store the box vertically and it makes the box quite heavy but other than those minor inconveniences it was perfect for it was meant to do.

I bought this and practically did not need to use the glue as all fits perfectly, but can be used to strengthen loosened on one or two places if taking out of the box.. The box will fit 1st 5 extensions perfectly with FF Green Sleeve, perfect. 6th Expension will not fit in the box as a warning, but I was aware of it slightly. Anyone that has 5 expansions a perfect place to fit all components and fasten the time to the game.
