This thing has been a savior! I’ve read reviews complaining about the mist, but I don’t mind so much. It fogs.. the sprays out a mist once the trigger is released. I just wish the battery lasted longer but it’s still doable and other companies make better batteries for this product as well as Ryobi’s other line ups. I’d recommend getting this if you frequently have outdoor or indoor pests.

This fogger works and then it doesn't. The only thing I do like about the tool is that it is light and portable enough to handle easily. It will make fog but if you tip the tool as you are using it, it will shoot out liquid and not fog. After approximately 15 times of use, it began to leak from the tank and plenty of liquid comes out onto the ground and the tool wasting your insecticide. I wished I had read the reviews more closely and bought a better one. I will be throwing this in the trash since it is not under warranty anymore. They just dont make tools like they used to.

First I used essential oils, which required mixing with water, for killing mosquitoes. With this I encountered "spitting" when I stopped spraying. This spitting was addressed in the manual (keep sprayer tip up, keep viscosity of spray down near that of water) and I tried those things but still got spitting with trigger to off. When I used a chemical spray made for electric sprayers and which required no mixing, there was almost no spitting. Spray was a fine mist which seemed ideal. All considered, the unit worked good except the battery life was rather short.

If you’re looking for using this to spray for mosquitoes or other insects in a small area or two in your yard, this is more than adequate. The half gallon size tank allows you to mix kill product with water and spray in focused areas. I used to have a 2 1/2 gallon larger backpack sprayer they gave me more coverage capabilities and had a broader spray pattern, however, I no longer have that larger yard and I’m just really spraying the front and back porch areas so this is plenty for that purpose. I recommend buying this if you have those small target areas that you want to spray, although , your mosquitoes and other insects are all around your yard so it just takes a little longer sprayer, but it’s very effective and great value for the price. Some limitations are that it has to be held level or the product isn’t spraying out as well. If you angle it up or angle it down too much it stops spraying because of the intake system From the product. Still even with that I’m glad that I bought this and I’d recommend it to anybody that wants to spray for mosquitoes or insects smaller areas of your yard.

Out of the box it produced a good steady fog after a bit of a warm up period, where you hold the trigger and nothing happens. I was careful with this, loosening the tank cap after every use thinking that would prolong the life. When I did fill it to the max line, the unit sputtered a bit, shooting liquid insecticide. So I had to make sure that it was not tipped up. After running it a bit I was able to tip it up about 20 degrees and still get a good fog output. Unfortunately after about 5 or 6 uses, it started leaking between the body and the tank. It made a giant insecticide mess on the patio and my pants. It would stull fog, but 90% of the insecticide ended up dripping out. It's in the repair shop awaiting a disposition by Ryobi...fix or replace. July 2025 Edit: After about a month, Ryobi replaced the unit. I used it a few times then put it away for the winter. This spring and summer I've used the replacement several times. This one has continued to work without leaking and really does help with minimizing the flies on our patio, which are about the only bugs we have...except for the occasional yellow jacket. I haven't taken it apart, but I believe that the design is marginal. Which is why some people give it 5 stars and others have issues. I hope to keep mine working by un-screwing the filler cap after each use. When it works properly the results are great, I'm changing my 1 star to 3 stars. It can work well, but it's just not very robust.

Started leaking chemical out the side when the trigger was released. They are sending me a new one right away.

Maybe a mister, definitely not a fogger. I had to go out of town and missed my return window. I have tried a number of different products nothing seems to work. Battery life is also short.

The item itself is excellent, but the charging point sent with it is for American outlets not Australian totally useless to me.
