I bought these in the first couple weeks of my son's life when I realized he was a little Houdini. No matter how tightly or with what material we swaddles him with (tried all different swaddle folds as well), he would fight his way out and wake up crying from his startle reflex. He has only gotten his arms out of these swaddles once, and I blame myself for not wrapping him correctly. Even when he got the arms out, he was still pretty complacent and happy in this swaddle. The SwaddleMe Swaddles saved us! Best features: 1) Baby will NOT get out 1) Easy to wrap baby inside 2) STRONG VelCro 3) Still allows baby to move legs 4) Can fold down velcro parts for washing so that all your clothes don't end up stuck to them!!! (See note below on this.) Other features that I have not used: 1) Hole in back so you can still use buckles in swings, bassinets, etc. 2) People say you can change the baby's diaper without unwrapping the arms. I have not tried this, it seems easier just to unwrap and rewrap. A note for washing: FOLD the extra fabric over the velcro parts before throwing in the wash (shown in pictures - note the top of the foot sack part and the tabs on the right). This velcro is so strong it has attached itself to my clothes and actually damaged my less durable items (nursing camis, underwear, etc). When I first got them I couldn't figure out why they had extra material around the velcro bits, and was annoyed cause I had to peel those pieces apart before wrapping my baby. Then I washed them and realized that that was probably the purpose of that extra fabric. Even if that's not the express purpose, DO IT!

This product is great for brand new babies but once our baby hit 6 weeks we stopped using it, she became too big and strong lol. She would break out so easily. Also only one of them fit her at that point. They’re supposedly all 0-3 months but they each fit slightly different.

My wife and I had our first this year in March. My son, Atlas, loves these swaddles!~ They fit him up through about 13 pounds (he's a small, chunky little guy). I should have bought one size up so we could use them longer. These swaddles rely on velcro to work. The hook-and-pile sections of the swaddle are not scratchy like other types of velcro (such as with shoes) but the hooks also grab the fabric if you're not careful when washing it. SwaddleMe apparently has taken this into consideration and included a pile strip just below the hook section for you to use when you are washing these. I recommend these to anyone who just can't quite get the hang of the swaddle the hospital shows you how to do, or for anyone who wants a quick and easy swaddle for baby! Pros— • Easy to clean • Velcro is baby skin friendly • Easy to use Cons— • I purchased a small, when I should have purchased one size up. • Hook part of Velcro can grab fabric and ruin it if you're not careful

This swaddle helps keep my LO asleep during naps and the night and prevents her Moro reflex from waking her. Pro: lightweight for summer weather ( no clothes needed underneath swaddle), not hard to use My list of cons are more of a “just note this”: the Velcro is strong and will wake baby up if you open it during their nap, will shrink if put in dryer, the swaddle design allows LOs hands/arms to push through the open space between upper and lower body and LO may end up with arms out in middle of night and could wake themselves up. (Just reswaddle). If your LO is on the taller percentile for height, his/her legs may not have much room to stretch out.

These are one of the must-have items I wish I knew about when creating our registry. Our son stayed in the swaddles in the hospital. We asked one of our nurses how to show us how she swaddled (she was a PRO at it). Once we got home. He wormed his way out of EVERY swaddle. This terrified me as a first time mom. One time, I woke up and he had broken out of his swaddle, the fabric was close to his face, and his hands and feet were cold. I panicked for a brief second until I realized he was okay. That is when I found these. They are INCREDIBLY easy to use, especially to put back on after a changing in the middle of the night. I know every time that he can't break free and throw the fabric over his face. I sleep SO much easier knowing my son is safe. If I put my son in a sleep-n-play style outfit before bed, I have to undo the whole swaddle. If I put him in just a onesie, I just undo the bottom part and pull his legs out so I can access the bottom of the onesie and his diaper (keeping his arms still swaddled and warm - this keeps him from fully waking up and helps get him back to sleep quicker). This is one of those products I will be purchasing for new parents-to-be that they don't know they need! Another tip - be sure to fold over the velcro before you put it in the wash. The designers did a fabulous job creating spots for you to secure the velcro to the opposite side so you catch other pieces of clothing with it.
