Logic and Philosophy: A Modern Introduction

Poor Binding
I purchased this book as the required textbook for a logic course. The content is understandable but the binding is of poor quality. So far the complete first chapter has come lose from the binding. I can’t return the book because I need it for the logic course.

I am disatisfied with the book because it is falling apart!
No matter the content I am extremely dissatisfied with the book because it is falling apart! Even though I bought it not all that long ago I believe that a book should be of better quality and not fall apart for many years of use!

Logic yes, philosophy, no....
I am a former logic instructor at the university level. This book makes for a good introduction to sentential and quantification logics, though it does not discuss the semantics, hermeneutics, linguistics and/or meta-linguistics, and philosophical questions regarding the meaning of inference, etc. Guaranteed to be a boring read and likely will not bring much clarity to the minds of its readers that is applicable to real life.

Do Not Buy the Kindle Edition of this book at this time
The Kindle edition needs a MAJOR reformating. As it is now it is virtually unusable. I included a screen shot of the text from my iPad. The circled area should be a truth table. It isn’t. It prints out as though it was line text and it makes no sense what-so-ever. This type of problem occurs throughout the book.
