The right tool for the right job.
This tool allowed me to troubleshoot and repair my air conditioner and saved me a lot of time and money.

Reliable, Accurate, and Built for the Job
As a technician, having a dependable megohmmeter is a must — and this one delivers. Right out of the box, the build feels solid, with a rugged, rubberized housing that gives confidence it can handle the field. I’ve used it for testing motors, compressors, and insulation on wiring, and the readings are consistent and accurate every time. The display is bright and easy to read, even outdoors. I also appreciate the auto-discharge feature after testing — a safety must. The leads are quality too, with strong alligator clips that hold securely during testing.

Cheap, reliable and simple. Love it.
I've been using these at work and love them. Light weight, simple to use and reliable. This will not get down to the finer details of measuring resistance readings but will tell you where the weak spots are in a circuit. The lower cutoff point on this meter's scale is 20 Megaohms, well above levels I have seen circuits operating without tripping overloads or breakers. All of the problem circuits I've diagnosed with my expensive Fluke megger have shown less than 1 Megaohm from conductor to ground. I still love this meter, though, because it is so light and compact. I also like that I can attach the alligator clips and leave one hand free to wiggle wires in the conduit on intermittent problems while I press the test button with the other. I have thus far not misdiagnosed a motor with this meter but I usually go get my Fluke 1507 if I am in doubt. You will love this megger.

Excellent value for money
Excellent value for money. I work in commercial industrial A/C and megging out motors is something I do on a regular basis. This thing is fairly accurate, I've tested it alongside a $1500 AEMC unit and it worked just fine. I wouldn't recommend it on stuff much bigger than 25hp. It's simply not precise enough to keep a trending log. However for small compressors, blower motors, etc, it works great. It's also good for testing wiring inside units for those "intermittent" electrical issues we love to run across. Downside, the leads are far too short.

Great for HVAC Techs
I've had one for 6 years now and it works great. It does only one job and it does it well. It's the easiest and fastest way to check windings on electric motors and compressors. If you don't know how to use it or what it does check YouTube.

We’re checking motors
I thought that I would use this a lot. I don’t use it a lot. I don’t use. It is bad if it’s your motor could put power to it don’t move is definitely bad or maybe you have a bad capacitor. If you have a meter and you know how to use it same thing it is a nice tool though

Must have tool if working on HVAC
I do maintenance for living and this helps identify those units that ohms out well but just don't seem to be working to full capacity.
