If you can afford this go for it!
The media could not be loaded. I've had dashcams for around 10 years and all have been nextbase up until now! It's been in my car for around a month now and here's my views:In comparison the build quality is second to none, its solid and compared to nextbase this is the big daddy of dashcams! The fact the camera operates from the car battery and not a built in battery increases the reliability big plus! This camera has the ability to monitor the battery voltage and turn off when it's using too much for parking mode - for my piece of mind I purchased the power magic box also. This allows you to set predefined times to switch it off with parking mode or infinite unless the voltage drops too much (clever eh!?!)Installation is like any other dashcam, however the cabling to the rear camera is a coaxial cable, this makes it a little tricky and it kinks easier so it's best to unwind the entire cable before trying to thread it around the car as if it kinks too much will be unusable. For me this was installed within 2 hours. It may be worth noting if you're using power magic - get a multi meter as you'll need this to dermine a fuse which is ignition live and permanent live, otherwise you may be there some time and more chances of winning the lottery (wishful thinking!)As there's no screen it is very discrete, with the front being notable the rear is near enough invisible especially with tinted glass. There is the ability to switch on a security light to make people aware of it if this is what you prefer (both front and back cameras)Once installed insert the sd card switch the engine on and it talks you through the process.I was a little cheeky as blackvue charge a small fortune for a bigger storage or even a replacement card is insane. So a tip is to purchase a high endurance sd card - take note to the high endurance bit! I've gone for a Samsung as the reliability figures are the best at the time of purchase. Plug the sd card into a computer and copy the configuration files onto the new and bigger sd card, plug this into the dashcam and et voila you now have a 256gb dashcam for £40 and not £180!So let's talk about the features - the app feels basic but robust, nextbase looks sleek but useless (I know what I'd rather have!)Downloading videos us a bit fiddly but if all else fails download the blackvue software on a PC and do it that way!The dashcam has cloud features - my driveway can receive my WiFi signal so when I park up I can actually view the live feed from the car on my sofa, this also tells you if there's any impact detected if you're not around. If you have the extra cash you have the ability to add a sim card module and this will in fact work anywhere but for me I think it was a little extreme especially when my car and tell me this anyway via the app for my car.Imagine quality is excellent and certainly enough to evidence to the police and insurance companies, night vision is always hit and miss with reflections - they make a polarised lens for day time but again small fortune for a piece of plastic/ glass - nextbase build this in as standard on their higher models.Overall if you can afford this you won't be disappointed for the following reasons:Outstanding buildReliable appParking mode is by far the best I've ever seen!Incredible video qualityDiscrete installation

Amazing video quality and a solid app. Go elsewhere for accessories.
I bought the DR900X-2CH to replace a NextBase 612GW after being rear-ended (giggity) and finding that the NextBase outright refused to let me have the footage. I've only had the Blackvue in in a short time, but they're currently on offer and the reviews for this model are thin on the ground with a couple being completely useless meme reviews so here's my honest impressions.Positives:• Video quality and low-light performance is very clearly in a different leage to the NextBase 612GW and Viofo (unsure which model - borrowed it) 4K cams I've used.• The app is lightyears ahead of NextBase (genuinely the worst app I've ever used, period). Very easy to move footage around and play with it in OpenShot.• Hardwiring kit is provided, unlike some of the competition.Negatives:• The rear camera's mounting is a bit flimsy and doesn't seem to stick as well as the front (both windows cleaned, then degreased with CarPro Eraser).• Official Blackvue SD cards are criminally expensive, with top-end high-endurance cards from Sandisk, Transcend, Samsung etc. being sold on Amazon for massively less (e.g. BV 128GB = £169.99, Transcend = £19.97). Blackvue don't have a chip fab and their cards will just be one of those with a lick of paint anyway, making the 90% price hike all the more unforgivable.Neutrals:• A 90 degree connector on both ends of the rear camera cable would have been nice for a cleaner install (connection front is 90deg, rear is straight). This totally depends on your car though. That's all for now. I'll update after a week or two of playing.

Not what I expected
Honestly not worth the price. A lot of the features I thought it had after reading the ad are actually added extra parts you need to buy separate. Some features don't seem to be available like selecting video length, currently it's 1min videos. Locked event videos seem to fill up the car quick as even hitting a bump triggers an event despite having the sensor turned down to one.Parking mode is a waste of time as it has motion and impact sensors. Soon as you turn the key it activates so even you getting out the car creates an event and opening the boot, so next time you get in the car the voice tells you it has detected an impact again sensors turned down to one are useless without the extra battery again at a high cost the parking mode is useless. When I turn it on it connects the camera to my iPhone via wifi but you then can't access the Internet on your phone so very annoying having to turn camera wifi off.App is very very very basic and doesn't give you the impression you've bought an expensive quality dash camI feel I have way over paid for a dash cam that hasn't even got half the features of my nextbase I got rid of.

The camera is great - the app is not so great
The camera is first rate in every respect. The App leaves a bit to be desired, some effort from Blackvue in this respect would be very welcome. The main issues are the horrendously slow download speeds from the camera and cloud to my iPhone - and yes, both camera and phone have a decent data signal. In summary - expensive but the camera is very good and easy to install, what lets it down to a degree is the app performance which is mediocre at best.

Works great
A little expense but works well, The mobile app to manage it is a little awkward, and it nags to setup a cloud account.

Not impressed by the “very good” condition claim
Fast delivery BUT the description wasn’t used, the item turned up without windscreen sticker pads on memory card. The hard wire terminals showed signs of being used and the icing on the cake was when testing the unit, I couldn’t connect to it so not functioning either.
