Great tool for making a great cup of tea or a small pitcher of tea
I was concerned that my XXL hands wouldn't fit into the tall and narrow glass container, making it difficult to thoroughly wash. My hand barely fits inside but it's not difficult to clean the teapot. I also bought the 12 ounce version and it's very easy to clean. I was concerned that the strainer wouldn't be fine enough to catch the small tea dust and I'd have a cloudy cup of tea with silt in the bottom of the cup. I poured the tea into a clear glass and there was no debris. The brewed tea was dark and rich, but had a wonderful clarity with no sediment and apparently no suspended particles. I had used the first teaspoon of high quality tea (Yorkshire Gold) from a new package, so there probably wasn't much of the tea dust that's found in the lower grade "floor sweepings" brands of tea, but the filter apparently works very well. I was concerned that a filter that was effective would be slow, but it only took a few seconds to pour a cup of tea. It didn't take much longer than pouring tea from a teapot without a filter. I finally broke the 12 ounce French press tea cup that I use 2-3 times per day so I just bought a replacement. I prefer to drink directly from the 12 ounce cup, so I unscrewed the stainless lid from the French press and replaced the lid with a short stainless machine screw that I use as a tiny handle stalk. I microwave the water and tea in the borosilicate glass. When steeping is finished, I push the French press an inch into the cup to filter the tea leaves and I sip the tea directly from this tea cup. I wish someone made a 12 ounce French press tea mug that didn't need to be modified. Who wants to wash two cups? I also wish the glass was thicker so it would be less fragile. The replacement 12 ounce tea mug has the etched Rishi logo. I liked it better without a logo. The design and build quality are both excellent. This is a great tool for making a great cup of tea, or a small pitcher of tea.

Perfect teapot
I make pots of tea with loose leaves every day and this teapot is perfect for one, no matter how fine the leaf none end up in your cup. They pour perfectly with no drips. There’s also a larger version for making several cups of tea. I recommend using a wooden spoon to stir the leaves as using a metal spoon can crack the glass (I learned this the hard way). Amazon sells a lovely olive wood spoon which is perfect for this. It’s great or tisanes too, I often make fresh mint or nettle tea. The filter is stainless steel and easy to dismantle and clean if necessary, no plastic anywhere. I wish Rishi made tea cosies to fit their pots as glass can lose heat quickly, I made one myself out of two layered fleece and that works well. Great gift for a tea loving friend!

The best tea strainer
I love this single serve tea steeper. It’s so easy to use and works every single time. I love that it’s glass and stainless steel so no microplastics leaking into your tea! It also happens to look gorgeous. Beautiful design.

Broke too fast stovetop.
I bought this out Feb this year and it’s broken from heat already? I wish the company can send another cause I really like this pot. It’s 30 bucks for the small one. I can’t buy this again! I have the tall one too and it’s still doing fine. will change my rating if you kindly replace your faulty quick cracking tea pot. Thank you. Edit Update: The company reached out and offered a full refund. I will stay buying from this company, they are an honorable bunch. Hard to find nowadays.

Rishi does not stand behind their product, poorly designed and not inexpensive to boot!!!
Please do not buy from Rishi, they are a terrible company and do not stand behind their products!!! If you receive a defective product they will not take it back, for pretty much any reason at all. The product is at best mediocre but leaning more towards poorly designed and executed, if you actually want 12 oz of tea for instance you have to fill the pot to almost the very top. When you then put the top on, inevitably water and tea leaves splash out the top and some rest in the spout, meaning every cup of tea you will have some leaves in your cup of tea. You would have to purchase the larger size pot to avoid this, there are so many better teapots and companies to deal with than Rishi, I would personally avoid them like the plaque at this point.

Really small. Get the next size up
I love the way the Rishi teapot works. Very elegant design. My granddaughter is a barista, and they use them in the shop she works in. Works similarly to a French press. The tea brew in the bottom and then you pour through the strainer lid. This size barely holds a cup of tea. It works perfectly but I’d recommend getting the next size up if you want a large cup of tea or are brewing for two.

Perfect Teapot
I had originally used this teapot at a high-end cocktail bar (when I was DD) and I knew I had to get one. My wife and I loved it and ended up buying a second one. They are super portable, and really elevate the tea drinking experience. Perfect for loose leaf teas with good heat retention between cups. These would make a great gift.
